AIS Academy joins forces with the Canadian Embassy and CICan bring knowledge to Thai people through “LearnDi”

AIS Academy has partnered with the Canadian Embassy and CICan to offer teaching courses from Canada’s leading institutions, a country that is known for its top-tier education. Thai people can now learn through the LearnDi platform, which offers both short courses to enhance skills and full courses that can be credited for further studies in Canada.

As a center for learning about technology and innovation both domestically and internationally, AIS Academy is responsible for developing the potential of personnel at all levels within the organization through digital platforms, working with partners at both national and global levels.

Furthermore, AIS Academy has expanded its mission “Think Ahead” to provide knowledge to all Thai people, serving as a central hub to transmit knowledge to Thai society through partnerships with leading organizations both domestically and internationally, fostering mutual growth and sustainable development.”

Recently, AIS Academy has been pushing forward to provide knowledge and education to Thai people by collaborating with the Canadian Embassy in Thailand and Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) to integrate learning courses from leading Canadian institutions with technology and the LearnDi platform. This partnership offers endless opportunities for Thai people to learn and develop themselves.

Kantima Lerlertyuttitham, Chief Human Resources Officer at AIS and the InTouch Group, stated that the collaboration was possible because Canada is a country that places great importance on high-quality education and is a top-level education destination in the world. All teachers are licensed.

From this collaboration, education will expand to every community because Thailand is not just Bangkok. Initially, various courses will be offered to personnel of companies and partner organizations before being expanded to the wider public. The courses will have reasonable fees, for example, a 12-hour course at a cost of several thousand baht, and there will be courses that can be extended to a degree level. This is a way of creating a foundation for lifelong learning.

“The changing global context has impacted both people’s lives and business operations. The work of AIS Academy is committed to providing new knowledge through working with diverse partners in the education industry, so that Thai people have the skills and abilities to adapt to the new world that has already changed significantly.”

Technology to cater to learning behavior post-COVID

During the COVID-19 pandemic, travel restrictions and classroom closures have made traditional learning difficult, and many have had to switch to online learning, creating new familiarities and behaviors among learners.

Digital technology allows people to access knowledge from different countries, and the learning behavior of the younger generation is not to study all day but to learn at their convenience and desire.

Therefore, using technology to access educational institutions’ knowledge from different countries allows learners to study and stop whenever they want, responding to this changing demand.

Learning like Canada

Sanjeev Chowdhury, Canada’s Commercial Counselor and Chargé d’affaires, said that in the past, approximately 1,000 Thai people went to study in Canada each year. During the COVID-19 pandemic when travel was restricted, students turned to online learning, and when the country opened up, these students were able to continue their studies without interruption.

“The demand for studying in Canada continues to increase steadily. As for opening up online courses, it will increase the number of Canadian students in Thailand. It also helps increase opportunities for students who are not ready to study abroad.”

The Commercial Counselor stated that Canada places great importance on education and that Canada’s education standards are globally recognized. He hopes that this cooperation will lead to something great in the future, which will change the face of education by spreading education from world-renowned institutions throughout Thailand.

All degrees and certificates from colleges and universities in Canada guarantee that students receive a world-class education. Working with AIS Academy will help Thais access Canada’s teaching methods.

“We believe that those who are interested in studying will be able to take what they have learned from Canada’s leading institutions and apply it to their profession, as well as to enhance their skills for future changes. Additionally, students will receive a certificate from the institution, which can be counted as credits to continue their studies at that institution in the future.”

Denise Amyot, President of CICan, introduced the association as a representative of Canada’s globally renowned colleges, universities, and specialized institutions with over 700 members working together in 25 countries worldwide. This collaboration aims to bring the knowledge that Thai people need to learn.

“CICan member institutions are prepared to provide learners with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in their careers, and CICan looks forward to expanding its cooperation with AIS to provide learning opportunities that meet the needs of Thai people.”

Leading educational institutions within CICan include Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), McGill University, Athabasca University, Dalhousie University, and Humber College.

As for globally recognized courses that are available for learning and self-development, they include both methodologies and certifications in Agile Project Management Practice, Accounting and Finance for Non-Accountants, Business Writing for Results, Communicating Effectively, Conflict Management, Creating Engaged and Motivated Employees, and Customer Relations.

“CICan offers a variety of courses numbering in the tens of thousands, including short courses that focus on professions such as nursing, lab work, emergency care, and developing courses in X-ray technology. There are also courses in research and human development, which make CICan one of four countries in the world that allows for research work.”
