HUAWEI appoints new local president to strengthen the company position in Thailand.

Huawei Technologies (Thailand) strengthens its long-established position and support business direction in 2021 by announcing Thai executive with strong background in ICT industry and digital technology.

It is the first and newly appointed President of Huawei Technologies (Thailand) under Abel Deng’s leadership.

Abel Deng, CEO of Huawei Technologies (Thailand) said that as Huawei aims to strengthen executive team and workforce to support our business growth in 2021, we are announcing Chawapol Jariyawiroj as the new President of Huawei Technologies (Thailand).

Chawapol is a figure of exceptional expertise, leadership, and extensive background in the ICT industry, both globally and locally. His industry expertise will, beyond doubt, contribute to enhance the capability and proficiency for Huawei’s sustainable business growth.

Chawapol Jariyawiroj, President of Huawei Technologies (Thailand) also expressed his excitement towards his new position and responsibility “HUAWEI Thailand is a global leading ICT company with a broad range of end-to-end products and services.

“The new position at Huawei Technologies Thailand provides a perfect opportunity for me to utilize my 27 years of experience in ICT industry, both internationally and locally, in order to help creating new business value for Huawei in the market” said Chawapol.

Thailand possesses a tremendous potential to grow regionally. Huawei is looking to growing with Thailand and further contributing to the country. The company has the mission to push forward for a fully connected and intelligent Thailand, in line with Huawei’s vision to bring digital innovation to every person, home, and organization. The integration between knowledge and capabilities of Huawei Thailand CEO and President reinforces the company’s ICT leadership in the Thai market, also help boosting Thailand’s digital economy.

“Chawapol will play a crucial role in leading and aligning across Huawei’s business units in Thailand and reinforcing our position as the leading integrated end-to-end global technology enabler in the years to come.” Abel Deng said.

One of Huawei’s commitments is to grow with Thailand and continue to contribute to the country.

Recently, Huawei has received the prestigious special PM award, for the Digital International Corporation of the Year. The reward is an acknowledgement from the Thai government for Huawei’s 21 years of continuous effort to help the country and a proof that Huawei is a credible leading technology and trusted ICT partner.

Moreover, Huawei has delivered more than 10,000 5G base stations to operator customers in Thailand, and will continue to help operators build 5G networks in order to support 5G penetration rate, expected to reach 10% by the end of this year.

For Cloud market in Thailand, Huawei will continue a Bt700-Million investment in the third local data center in 2021, and cooperate with partners to launch the industrial Cloud platform and the SMEs Cloud platform.

The efforts will empower Thailand as a regional digital hub and help accelerate Thailand’s digital transformation.
