Huawei joins hand with TAT launch HUAWEI P60 Pro to boost Thailand’s tourism industry

Huawei Consumer Business Group (Thailand), together with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), launched their flagship HUAWEI P60 Pro in Thailand accompanied by a stunning visual showcase depicting fascinating aspects of Thai culture seen through the eyes of young students from Silpakorn University as taken by the smartphone’s camera technology. This collaboration aims to boost Thailand’s tourism industry, expand the tourism market, and build confidence among young Thais and foreign tourists while simultaneously introducing them to unique attractions and quintessential parts of Thai culture.

“The main objective of this project aligns with TAT’s national tourism development plan for 2023-2027, which aims to provide advanced Marketing Information Systems and comprehensive tourism marketing information services to cater to tourists’ needs. TAT’s tourism master development plan will also drive the strategic approach to tailor valuable travel experiences and strive towards sustainability while focusing on personalized programs for high-end visitors from different countries and providing them with unique and extraordinary travel experiences.” explained Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).

Recent research on travel trends  revealed that sustainable tourism is made possible by locals. This concept encourages residents to collaborate in development efforts and drive the sustainable growth of the tourism industry. These initiatives will empower locals to creatively develop their hometown to meet the needs of modern travelers.

To keep up with these growing trends, Huawei encouraged younger generations of Thais to tell enchanting stories of Thai culture while promoting unique Thai tourist attractions among foreign visitors. At the same time, this project allows tourists to get diverse and unforgettable nightlife experiences conveyed to them through the smartphone camera of the flagship HUAWEI P60 Pro, which is uniquely developed by Huawei to enhance image quality in low light conditions.

This project also highlights the astonishing nightscapes of Thailand through a short film ‘Nightlife in Bangkok by HUAWEI P60 Pro’ that was produced by students from the Faculty of Decorative Arts, Visual Communication Design, at Silpakorn University. The film shows Thailand’s stunning attractions at night, such as Tha Maharaj, which is the only lifestyle mall in Bangkok’s old town along the Chao Phraya River; Yaowarat, commonly known as Bangkok’s Chinatown, the walking street that offers a staggering array of quality restaurants; and the Rama VIII Bridge, a 75-meter-long bridge over the river with a distinctive and majestic ambience at night.

The short film was shot on the flagship HUAWEI P60 Pro, which is equipped with a 48-megapixel Ultra Lighting Telephoto Camera, with a maximum aperture of F2.1 and an unprecedented 200 times zoom range. The Telephoto Camera is loaded with an Ultra Lighting Lens Group which lets in a surprising amount of light in order to create stunning shots in low-light situations. The HUAWEI P60 Pro also boasts Huawei’s first telephoto anti-shake sensor and a cutting-edge XMAGE feature that enhances the vibrancy of colors. This feature also helps adjust brightness, light, shadow, and texture details to reproduce astonishingly vivid images.

The HUAWEI P60 Pro is available in two colors, Rococo Pearl and Black. To celebrate the launch, the 8+256GB memory model comes with a limited-time free upgrade to the 12+512GB memory model when you pay THB37,990, while the 12+512GB memory model will be available for THB43,990 after the promotion has ended.

The HUAWEI P60 Pro is available for pre-order from 18-26 May 2023 and customers will receive free giveaways at a value of THB5,724 for each order. The free giveaways include a THB3,999 HUAWEI Super Charge Wireless Car Charge, THB999 3-Month HUAWEI Screen Protection, THB297 3-month HUAWEI 200GB Cloud storage, a 40% discount for 1-year extended device coverage, and a THB429 3-month WeTV VIP Package.
