Modern organizations dedicated to sustainability and diversity

The “Sustainability” trend, or the organization’s long-term viability, is extending to include many issues such as gender equality and equity.

In 2018, the World Bank published a study titled Economic Inclusion of LGBTI in Thailand, which is the most comprehensive study on the subject to date.

More than half of LGBT people say their employment applications are frequently turned down “because of an LGBTI person’s identity”.

In another situation, 40 per cent of survey respondents are transgenders at work will have been subjected to sexual harassment or mockery in the workplace.

In addition to a massive survey of 3,502 LGBT people through questionnaires, the report queried 1,200 non-LGBT people on their perspectives on LGBT people. It is the largest study of LGBT individuals on discrimination ever conducted.

DiversityInThailand.org is leading diversity development ideas for organizations project. They made a series of video clips to help people realize the importance of diversity in the workplace by interviewing people with first-hand knowledge on the subject from a variety of views and making the results available for free download at www.diversityInThaialnd.org (Content is in Thai).
