AIS Academy is hosting “AIS ACADEMY For THAIs 2026” under the theme “Mastering AI Beyond Borders” on September 11–12, 2026, at Samyan Mitrtown Hall. Operating under its “Think Ahead for Thais” mission, the initiative serves as a platform connecting knowledge, technology, experts, and networks to help Thai citizens develop practical AI capabilities. The event brings together global tech experts and features hands-on workshops, masterclasses, and interactive booths. Official MOUs will be signed with the National Innovation Agency (NIA) and the Office of Knowledge Management and Development (OKMD) to advance Thailand’s innovation and learning ecosystems.
Addressing the Shift from Access to Capability

Kantima Lerlertyuttitham, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Corporate Officer at AIS, stated that the organization aims to grow sustainably alongside Thai society by addressing public skill gaps. The focus has shifted from initial technology access to building capability, preparing citizens for advanced AI developments such as Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). The objective is to cultivate AI-ready people who can adapt, analyze, and apply AI responsibly to boost national competitiveness, rather than merely keeping up with tool updates.
Cross-Sector Public Partnerships
The initiative brings together five government agencies to address capability gaps across different segments of society:
- Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS): Focuses on digital inclusion for vulnerable groups, including elderly individuals and people with disabilities, by building basic tech skills via familiar platforms to reduce digital inequality.
- Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI): Collaborates on online AI literacy courses and the Thailand AI Readiness Index (TARI)—a framework developed with the Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO) to assess AI adoption in business organizations.
- National Innovation Agency (NIA): Promotes local AI innovations, supports startup ecosystems, and partners on the JUMP Thailand Hackathon 2026 under the theme “AI for the Future of Thai Education,” featuring its final pitching round at the event.
- Office of Knowledge Management and Development (OKMD): Hosts the AIS Academy For THAIs 2026 Roadshow across four provinces (Phitsanulok, Nakhon Ratchasima, Chachoengsao, and Nakhon Si Thammarat) to provide regional access to AI playgrounds, curated learning resources, and train-the-trainer programs.
- Ministry of Education (MOE): Enhances AI literacy and digital safety via the “Aunjai Cyber” curriculum, while expanding internet infrastructure and practical AI skills to vocational and remote schools.
