Meta has announced new capabilities for Creator Assistant on Facebook to help creators identify performance opportunities, manage content production, and engage with their communities through drafted comment replies in their own voice. The update also integrates the assistant into the web version of the Creator Dashboard.
First launched in June to help creators analyze post performance based on audience metrics, Meta updated the tool after feedback indicated creators often did not know what questions to ask or lacked the time to act on analytical insights. The updated assistant now proactively initiates recommendations, collaborates on content creation, and drafts comment responses.
Get notified when there’s an opportunity you may have missed
The assistant now keeps an eye on creators’ accounts and lets them know when something is worth their attention—whether that’s a post going viral, a jump in new followers, or a topic starting to trend that fits what they make. These notifications are on by default, and creators can turn them off at any time. Meta believes this is the change that will help most: creators don’t have to keep guessing what to look at. What’s worth knowing comes to them, helping them stay on top of their Facebook presence without having to keep checking it themselves.
Work through your content with a partner
The assistant can do more than tell creators what to do—it can assist them throughout the content production process. Creators can hand it an idea and get a storyboard and shot list back, or upload a draft before posting to get specific feedback on what’s working or could be better. It puts together a starting point, and creators decide what happens next—helping them speed through parts of their process that slow them down while remaining in control of their content.
Keep up with your community and comments
For most creators, relationships with their communities are built in the comments they reply to. But replying to comments can be time-consuming when they’re busy creating. The assistant can help creators stay on top of comments by surfacing the questions and conversations waiting on a reply, and drafting replies in their voice. This can help creators respond to their communities in a few moments rather than a whole afternoon. Creators can review and edit replies before anything posts.
Use it wherever you choose to work
For many creators, a phone is where they capture, and a desktop is where they plan, organize, and get ahead of the week. The assistant supports both ways of working. Over the coming months, the assistant will also be built into more of the places where creators already do their creator work on Facebook, so they won’t have to navigate away from what they’re doing to get its help.
The assistant is also built into Facebook Creator Studio, the dedicated creator app Meta has been building with creators. Whether creators prefer working on a phone, on desktop, or in the Creator Studio app, the same assistant is there.
What’s next
Creator Assistant started as a way to make sense of creators’ Facebook presence and is becoming a proactive partner that works alongside them. It first launched to creators in the U.S., Canada, and India. Meta has started expanding to more countries, with more to come over the following months. Creators can check the homepage of Creator Dashboard to see if they have access and keep an eye on the Facebook for Creators page for more updates.
