Mitr Phol Group, the second global sustainability leader <\/a>in the food industry, announced its first step of success toward becoming net-zero, with Mitr Phol Dan Chang in Suphanburi Province being Thailand\u2019s first Carbon Neutrality Complex as targeted. The complex is recognized by Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), or TGO, as it has reduced GHG emissions by over 270,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2eq). In this regard, Mitr Phol plans to achieve the company goals of carbon neutrality within 2030 and Net Zero<\/a> within 2050. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mitr Phol Dan Chang, Suphanburi Province, is a complex consisting of 7 connected plants, starting from a sugar factory. Resources remaining from the sugar production process will be leveraged at the biomass and bio-based power plants. Throughout the premises, solar energy is employed to enhance green energy efficiency, reducing  GHG emissions by more than 270,000 tCO2eq, or equal to 300,000-rai of trees planted.
