Pilot EV electric trucks were introduced at its factories in Ayutthaya, Pathum Thani, and Nong Khae-Saraburi, with a target to reduce carbon emissions by 1,600 tons annually. This effort aligns with Green Logistics principles across three key dimensions: loading efficiency, direct shipping, and plastic reduction in logistics, with the ultimate objective of achieving Net Zero emissions while sustainably promoting the well-being of Thais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kenji Harada, <\/strong>Vice President of Ajinomoto (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated, \u201cOur company is committed to becoming a low-carbon organization, with a strategic plan to cut environmental impacts by 50% by 2030, while striving to be a leader in promoting well-being for society and the world. One of our key sustainability goals is to halve greenhouse gas emissions. By 2024, we aim to slash our carbon footprint by 92% through the adoption of new technologies and the use of alternative and renewable energy sources, driving us towards a low-carbon business model. We have allocated 40 million baht towards developing Green Logistics within Ajinomoto\u2019s robust quality assurance system (ASQUA) which prioritizes eco-friendly shipping and logistics handling practices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, we are pleased to introduce EV electric trucks to transport our high-quality products from factories to distribution centers. Our commitment to leveraging technology and alternative energy remains steadfast, as we work towards using 40% fully electric trucks and reducing carbon emissions by 44,000 tons annually by 2030.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pavin Hutchesson<\/strong>, Associate Director of the Supply Chain Department, Ajinomoto (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, \u201cAjinomoto has partnered with Yusen Logistics Thailand, a leading provider of comprehensive logistics services, and Nex Point Public Company Limited (NEX), a pioneer in commercial vehicle innovation, to develop and launch EV electric trucks to transport our products, including \u201cAJI-NO-MOTO\u201d MSG, RosDee, and Birdy Coffee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are initiating pilot projects at three factories: Ayutthaya, Pathum Thani, and Nong Khae-Saraburi, with plans for 11,500 transport routes annually aimed at reducing carbon emissions by 1,600 tons per year. Our strategy adheres to <strong>Green Logistics principles<\/strong>, focusing on three key dimensions: <strong>1. Loading Efficiency:<\/strong> This involves intelligent logistics planning, AI management, and addressing defected or damaged products during transportation through the &#8220;Ajinomoto Biocycle&#8221; concept. Defected items are sent to Ajinomoto FD Green (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a green business model for the environment within our group of companies that transforms operational outputs into agricultural products; <strong>2. Direct Shipping:<\/strong> We optimize transportation and delivery routes from factories to distribution centers to minimize carbon emissions; and <strong>3. Plastic Reduction in Logistics:<\/strong> We prioritize maintaining packaging integrity and product quality while minimizing plastic use in product wrapping and crates. Our meticulous planning, commitment to hygiene, and partnership-driven approach to Green Logistics aim to reduce environmental impacts and promote sustainability in measurable
