Speaking at the SX Sustainability Expo 2025, Southeast Asia\u2019s largest sustainable innovation platform, <strong>Alexis Richard<\/strong>, General Manager of Electrolux Thailand, emphasized the company\u2019s accelerated progress toward its climate goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Richard announced the Group&#8217;s new, more ambitious targets set after achieving its first science-based climate goal in 2022, three years ahead of schedule. The new roadmap to net-zero includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reducing operational carbon emissions (Scope 1 &amp; 2) by 85% by 2030.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reducing product-related emissions (Scope 3) by 42% by 2030.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aiming to increase the share of recycled steel and plastic used in production to 35% by 2030.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Driving Circularity Through the \u2018For the Better 2030\u2019 Framework<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Richard highlighted the company\u2019s unwavering commitment to circularity under its comprehensive \u2018For the Better 2030\u2019 sustainability framework, which is structured around three core pillars: Better Company, Better Solutions, and Better Living, alongside the Group&#8217;s Climate Goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Sustainability is an integral part of our global strategy,&#8221; Richard stated. &#8220;As the regional commercial hub for Asia, with our Rayong factory serving as one of our global manufacturing sites, Thailand plays a key role in contributing to our sustainability targets\u2014particularly by bringing sustainable products to our local consumers.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that Electrolux offers &#8220;circular solutions&#8221; that enable consumers to enjoy great-tasting food, ensure clothes last longer, and promote healthy well-being at home through energy- and resource-efficient product innovations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sustainability as a Competitive Strength<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Richard pointed out that sustainability is no longer just a corporate goal but a significant market driver, noting that two-thirds of global consumers consider it an important purchase criterion for home appliances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Electrolux\u2019s leadership in sustainability is validated by the prestigious EcoVadis Gold rating, placing the company in the top 5% of over 70,000 global companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We will continue to push ourselves and the entire industry toward even bolder commitments that make sustainable living the new standard,&#8221; Richard concluded,
