The appointment comes as the Group navigates a complex aviation landscape marked by surging fuel prices and geopolitical uncertainty, reaffirmed by a strategy focused on network optimization and hub development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strategic Hubs and Route Optimization <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite global headwinds, the Group remains committed to its Asean-focused model. AirAsia X reaffirmed its plan to launch <strong>Bahrain<\/strong> as a strategic gateway to Europe on <strong>June 26, 2026<\/strong>. In the interim, the airline has reallocated capacity to high-yield routes including <strong>Almaty, Tashkent, and Istanbul<\/strong>, while exploring growth opportunities for its domestic hub in <strong>Senai, Johor Bahru<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tan Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim, Independent Non-Executive Chairman of AirAsia X<\/strong>, said: \u201cI\u2019m excited to be joining AirAsia X, especially after the recent consolidation of all seven airlines into one large cohesive group. In response, the airline has implemented calibrated fare adjustments and a one-off fuel surcharge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhile we are operating in an increasingly
