Clicx Bank Public Company Limited has unveiled its “new-era financial strategy” aimed at expanding credit access for underbanked populations by leveraging technological partnerships, according to an official statement released on May 27, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Operating under the vision “Bank in One CLICX,” the firm is positioning itself as Thailand’s first branchless commercial bank. The platform is built as a strategic joint venture between Krung Thai Bank (KTB), Advanced Info Service (AIS), and PTT Oil and Retail Business (OR). The digital platform is scheduled to launch its official application in June 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The strategy specifically addresses a structural gap highlighted by the Bank of Thailand, which indicates that over 63% of Thais remain underserved by standard financial services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, more than 80% of the population holds emergency savings that would cover living expenses for less than six months in the event of an unexpected income disruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Suporn Sunthornrohit, Chief Executive Officer of CLICX Bank<\/strong>, noted that traditional credit requirements often exclude irregular income earners, including freelancers, self-employed professionals, and small business owners, due to a lack of formal income documentation or conventional credit histories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “In reality, having a bank account does not automatically mean that everyone can access financial opportunities that truly match their needs,” Sunthornrohit said. “CLICX believes that financial opportunity should not be assessed solely through traditional financial data. It should also reflect people\u2019s real life potential, behavior and financial discipline.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n The bank stated that its financial products are engineered to adapt to consumer behaviors rather than requiring users to adapt to traditional banking systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The venture integrates KTB’s financial infrastructure, AIS’s digital and technological capabilities, and OR’s consumer lifestyle network to assess risk through behavioral insights rather than strict physical paperwork. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Management emphasized that all operations will be conducted under strict principles of personal data protection and international security standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ahead of the full application rollout, the digital bank will introduce a customizable account number feature on June 2, 2026, marking a first for the Thai banking sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The feature allows users to select and personalize their bank account numbers based on personal preferences.
