{"id":188157,"date":"2026-05-30T08:40:26","date_gmt":"2026-05-30T01:40:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thestorythailand.com\/?p=188157"},"modified":"2026-06-02T08:43:40","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T01:43:40","slug":"grab-thais-help-thais-plus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thestorythailand.com\/en\/grab-thais-help-thais-plus\/","title":{"rendered":"Grab cuts GP to 9%, Offers THB 2M loans for &#8220;60\/40&#8221; scheme merchant"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GrabFood, food delivery platform announced a special support package for merchants participating in the government\u2019s \u201cThais Help Thais Plus 60\/40\u201d subsidy scheme, aiming to help stimulate consumer spending and support MSME liquidity amid the ongoing economic slowdown.\u00a0The package includes a special reduced commission rate (GP) of 9%, sales-driving programmes and discount codes worth up to THB 20,000, as well as cash loan support of up to THB 2 million per merchant.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Chantsuda Thananitayaudom, Country Head of Grab Thailand<\/strong>&nbsp;said,&nbsp;\u201cOver the past several months, restaurant operators especially MSMEs have faced multiple challenges, ranging from rising ingredient costs driven by the energy crisis to softer consumer spending amid the ongoing economic slowdown. The return of the government subsidy scheme like \u2018Thais Help Thais Plus 60\/40\u2019 therefore comes at a crucial time to help stimulate the economy during mid-year period and ease the impact of the energy crisis on Thai people. This has already been reflected in the overwhelming public response, with the scheme registration of 26 million eligible people within four days&nbsp; (May 25\u201328).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\u201cAs an industry leader in Thailand\u2019s food delivery, Grab remains committed to supporting the country\u2019s economy and the government\u2019s agenda.&nbsp;We have therefore introduced a special commission rate at 9% together with a package featuring ten exclusive benefits for merchants joining the scheme via GrabFood. In addition, we will be launching the \u2018GrabFood X Thais Help Thais Plus 60\/40\u2019 campaign featuring our Friend of Grab \u2018Nong Gale\u2019, Thailand\u2019s sweetheart, who will help promote the campaign throughout the four-month campaign period.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the campaign, Grab will offer participating merchants a range of benefits, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>A special reduced commission rate (GP) of only 9%<\/strong>\u00a0for merchants who sign up for the scheme with GrabFood by 10 June 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sales boosting programmes and discount codes worth up to THB 20,000<\/strong>\u00a0to help merchants attract customers and boost orders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cash loans support ranging from THB 2,500 up to THB 2 million<\/strong>\u00a0to help eligible merchants improve liquidity and support business operations.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additional benefits include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Free delivery for the first 5 kilometers<\/strong>\u00a0on every order placed using the SAVER delivery option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Special discounts of up to THB 12,000 per user<\/strong>\u00a0for food orders placed through the scheme to encourage repeat orders and help drive merchant sales.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>THB 1,200 in GrabAds credits<\/strong>\u00a0for all merchants registering via the GrabMerchant app, helping increase store visibility and promotion on the platform.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A full-fledged nationwide marketing campaign across online and offline channels\u00a0<\/strong>to drive awareness and traffic throughout the campaign period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Free in-store marketing collateral featuring \u201cNong Gale\u201d,\u00a0<\/strong>offered exclusively to the first 40,000 merchants participating in the scheme with GrabFood.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>GrabMart coupons worth up to THB 2,000 per user,<\/strong>\u00a0allowing customers to shop for everyday consumer goods from supermarkets, convenience stores, and retailers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A chance to win the grand prize<\/strong>\u00a0of 0% commission (GP) on GrabFood for one year, along with many other prizes worth more than THB 20 million in total.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Merchants interested in joining the&nbsp;<strong>\u201cThais Help Thais Plus 60\/40\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;scheme with GrabFood can register from 10 June 2026 onwards to receive exclusive Grab benefits. Registration can be completed via the Tungngern application by following these steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Review the terms and conditions for campaign participation (From May 29, 2026, onwards)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tap the &#8220;Thais Help Thais Plus 60\/40&#8221; banner on the GrabMerchant app<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review the details and tap &#8220;Accept Terms and Conditions&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify that the &#8220;Tax ID Number&#8221; matches the one registered on the &#8220;Tungngern\u201d app<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Register on the Thung Ngern app and choose to join the project with GrabFood (From June 10, 2026, onwards)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the &#8220;Tungngern&#8221; app and tap &#8220;Register for Free&#8221; on the banner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select Grab as your participating platform for the \u201cThais Help Thais Plus:
