The new investment product represents the SPDR Gold MiniShares Trust (GLDM), a U.S.-listed Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) backed by physical gold bullion. GOLDM01 features a low underlying expense ratio of 0.10% per annum, making it the lowest-cost option among gold ETF-backed DRs listed on the SET. It is positioned as a tool for portfolio diversification and long-term risk management in volatile markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pichet Sithi-Amnuai, President of Bualuang Securities,<\/strong> noted that following the mid-June listing of 13 new future-focused stock and ETF DR01 securities from the U.S. and Hong Kong markets, the company is continuing to expand its foreign asset access. The introduction of DR &#8220;GOLDM01&#8221; marks the first time this major U.S. gold ETF has been made available via the Thai stock market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cost Efficiency and Historical Safe-Haven Performance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A major feature of DR \u201cGOLDM01\u201d is its alignment with the physical gold price via the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) Gold Price. The product carries no additional DR management fees in Thailand beyond the underlying 0.10% annual expense ratio of GLDM. Since its inception on June 25, 2018, the underlying GLDM fund has registered a total return of approximately 259%, highlighting gold&#8217;s historical role as a safe-haven asset and its utility in mitigating portfolio risk during periods of high equity market volatility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Pichet, domestic interest in gold-linked DRs is expanding because they allow exposure to gold bullion without the logistical burdens of physical storage or safety concerns. The securities require lower initial capital than buying physical gold bars, maintain high liquidity, and trade with the same ease as local equities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Thai DR Market Reaches New High of THB 65 Billion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chaiyaporn Nompitakcharoen, Managing Director of Sales &amp; Trading Business at Bualuang Securities,<\/strong> provided financial data indicating that DRs are fast becoming a preferred vehicle for Thai investors seeking international diversification. The total market capitalization of all listed DRs on the SET reached a record high of approximately THB 65 billion as of June 11, 2026. This is up from THB 54 billion at the close of 2025 and THB 29 billion at the end of 2024. Average monthly trading values for DRs hit THB 23 billion since the start of 2026, rising from monthly averages of THB 15 billion in 2025 and THB 4.6 billion in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bualuang Securities currently manages 49 individual DR01 securities on the SET, covering major equity indices and common stocks across the U.S., China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, India, Japan, and Europe. The DR01 series commands a combined market capitalization of roughly THB 17 billion, accounting for 26% of the total domestic DR market share. Data as of June 11, 2026, shows that since the beginning of 2025, DR01 products have achieved an average total return of +22%, outperforming the SET Index\u2019s +14% return over the same period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the notable performers in the DR01 portfolio is MICRON01, which tracks a leading global memory chip manufacturer tied to AI infrastructure growth. Its value has increased by over 200% since its debut on January 9, 2026.
