True Corporation has expanded its 5G network coverage across Koh Phangan, Surat Thani Province, to support travelers, digital nomads, and local residents during the “Feel All the Feelings @ Koh Phangan: Recharge Your Life” campaign at Thong Sala Pier. The event, held under the concept “The Island of Power Energized by the Moon,” showcases local nature, art, and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oliver Kittipong Veeratecha, Chief Brand and Communications Officer of True Corporation, <\/strong>attended the opening ceremony alongside Paisit Thongcherm, Koh Phangan District Chief; Nittharat Wanitcharoen, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Koh Samui Office; and Naruemon Maisopha, President of the Koh Phangan Hotel and Tourism Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oliver stated that True aims to provide connectivity that links people, communities, and economic opportunities. He emphasized that technology should support balanced societal and environmental growth alongside network speed. To support travelers, True extended 5G connectivity along the travel route from Surat Thani Airport to the ferry lines and across Koh Phangan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to 2025 TAT data, Koh Phangan welcomed 1,770,164 visitors, including 518,685 Thai tourists (29%) and 1,251,479 international tourists (71%). Tourism generated over 25,399.26 million baht, with 21,762.67 million baht (86%) coming from international visitors and 3,636.59 million baht (14%) from Thai visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The “Feel All the Feelings” campaign highlights five key tourism zones on the island:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Center of Lifestyle:<\/strong> Hub for local living, business, transport, safety, and True 5G connectivity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Full Moon Destination:<\/strong> Center for nightlife and entertainment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Heritage & Nature:<\/strong> Forests, waterfalls, and historical routes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Into the Sea:<\/strong> Traditional fishing villages and local seafood.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Health & Wellness Tourism:<\/strong> Dedicated areas for holistic wellbeing and mindfulness.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Event highlights include the “Thai Sahakij: Memories of Phangan” photography exhibition onboard HTMS Koh Phangan (713), featuring historical works by local photographer Narin Poolsap. The event also features cultural performances, local Southern Thai folk singing (Phleng Bok<\/em>), the Loi Khrao<\/em> boat ceremony, family activities, local markets, and eco-friendly food zones emphasizing reduced plastic use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    True’s engineering team optimized network coverage at major event hubs and high-traffic locations, including HTMS Koh Phangan (713) at Thong Sala Bay, Thong Sala\u2013Ban Tai Road, Haad Rin Beach, Phangan Bayshore Resort, and Mae Haad Beach. AI technology was deployed to manage signal quality 24\/7 and optimize base station power usage based on real-time traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    True noted its performance recognitions from network benchmark firm nPerf in 2025, where TrueMove H was named the top mobile network in Thailand for the tenth consecutive year, and TrueOnline held the top fixed broadband rank for six consecutive years.
