The move is to promote labor rights in the nation in celebration of Thailand Day for Safety and Health at Work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thestorythailand.com\/en\/11\/05\/2020\/462\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">-\u2018dtac callMe VDO\u2019 takes ringing tones into the short video era<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Shared Mehrotra, Chief Executive Officer at Total Access Communication Plc or dtac,<\/strong> said: \u201cRespect for labor rights is integral to our business. We strengthen corporate accountability and transparency to promote worker\u2019s rights to obtain decent and productive work in conditions of freedom, equity, security and dignity. We aim to raise standards of labor right throughout dtac\u2019s supply chain whether outsourcing staff, vendors, suppliers and business partners. Our action is to create positive impact on societies, meeting our responsible and sustainable business practices.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">dtac\u2019s focus on raising standards for its employees and supply chain means putting health, safety, security and environment at the top of agenda, which is clearly stated in the code of conduct. To align with the company\u2019s position of a responsible employer, the firm has set a strict adherence to zero accident\/incident goal through a myriad set of proactive measures in promoting all sorts of business in its supply chain. They can be divided into two measures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Capacity building, training and raising awareness are organized across the chain of suppliers through Supplier Conduct Principles or SCPs, ensuring health, safety, security and environment standards. For instance, the obligation of personal protective equipment and the rules against forced and child labor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">dtac provides an audit and inspection unit called Supply Chain Sustainability, responsible for monitoring, evaluation and training on health safety principles and the recommendation on the use of on-site personal protective equipment. This is to make sure good health of workers and a safe and secure working condition, mitigating work-related injury or on-the-job death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, dtac will monitor compliance through a systematic, risk based approach, which may include both announced and unannounced inspections and audits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the COVID-19 outbreak, dtac has outlined a specific measure to prevent the spread of the deadly-virus disease. Internally, the company is providing employees with additional insurance coverage for COVID-19 on top of the standard insurance. dtac is also taking many preventive measures in office as well as shops. Whereas every single vendor must show a certificate letter on COVID-19 for those who have a travel record in risk countries.
