Members of the public are invited to download the \u201cBMA Doctor\u201d app today, while medical services at all 11 affiliated hospitals will be completely rolled out via this app by the end of March 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pol. Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Bangkok Governor, <\/strong>said that BMA has continually used IT to support healthcare services in response to the changing lifestyles of the \u2018new normal\u2019 era in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. The \u201c<strong>BMA Doctor\u201d app<\/strong> under the \u201cSmart OPD\u201d project aims to elevate the quality of \u2018new normal\u2019 healthcare services as people must maintain physical distance and avoid close contact to reduce the spread of COVID-19. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This self-service innovation via smartphone will provide the public easier access to healthcare services, both emergency and non-emergency, at all 11 hospitals under the Medical Service Department, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, which currently has more than 4 million outpatients per year, as well as the Bangkok Emergency Medical Service Center (Erawan Center). Users can also access health-related knowledge provided by physicians and multidisciplinary personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kattiya Indaravijaya, KBank Chief Executive Officer, <\/strong>said, \u201cKBank attaches importance to the use of technology to help address problems and improve the quality of life in various dimensions, including the promotion of public health service. KBank is using technologies that we have expertise in to support the development of the BMA\u2019s medical service system, and the \u201cBMA Doctor\u201d application, with the aim of offering service users greater convenience while having to comply with social distancing rules, easing limitations of the public health system when there is substantial demand for healthcare services, and bracing for potential crises. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cBMA Doctor\u201d application aims to improve three important components:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Linkage of the hospital information system (HIS) <\/strong>with the application so that patients can gain easier access to their medical records, practice self-medication, thus bolstering the efficiency of medical services and\u00a0self-care.<\/li><li><strong>Service experience of using the application<\/strong> &#8211; This is to ensure that service users can use the application more conveniently at hospitals and elsewhere.<\/li><li><strong>Linkage of the payment system with other financial services\u00a0<\/strong>to reduce the need for touching banknotes and coins.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key services of the \u201cBMA Doctor\u201d application <\/strong>include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Doctor\u2019s appointment service \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Check appointment schedule, receive appointment&nbsp;reminders, and click to get your queue ticket on the app<\/li><li><strong>Medical benefit checking service <\/strong>such as Universal Health Coverage (known as the Gold Card), Social Security Scheme, and Civil Servant Medical Benefit Scheme<\/li><li><strong>Hospital queue checking service \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Be notified of your queue number and steps in receiving medical services<\/li><li><strong>Medical treatment registration service \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Register to receive medical treatment and make a simple appointment via the app<\/li><li><strong>Medical record service \u2013&nbsp;<\/strong>Check diagnoses, history of drug\/vaccine allergies and medication history.&nbsp;Service users can easily access the service from other&nbsp;hospitals, reviewing data of medical treatment by themselves without going to the hospital for the physical records<\/li><li><strong>Emergency medical alert service \u2013 <\/strong>A feature that alerts the hospital to illnesses or injuries that require immediate attention, while sharing the location of the incident to receive assistance from the&nbsp;Bangkok Emergency Medical Service Center&nbsp;(Erawan Center)<\/li><li><strong>Online medical treatment<\/strong> via tele-medicine service &#8211; Users&nbsp;can get&nbsp;remote diagnosis, follow-up care and advice on medication from their doctors via video calls, forgoing hospital visits. Service users can also receive their medication via mail or pick up their medication from a nearby drugstore.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested individuals can download the \u201cBMA Doctor\u201d application starting today. Each of the 11 following hospitals will launch medical services via this application separately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Bangkok Metropolitan Administration General Hospital<\/li><li>King Taksin Memorial Hospital<\/li><li>Charoenkrung Pracharak Hospital<\/li><li>Sirindhorn Hospital<\/li><li>Venerable Thawisak Jutindhard Hospital<\/li><li>Wetchakarunrasm Hospital<\/li><li>Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Lat Krabang Hospital<\/li><li>Ratchaphiphat Hospital<\/li><li>Bang Khun Thian Geriatric Hospital<\/li><li>Khlong Sam Wa Hospital<\/li><li>Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Bangna Hospital<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>As well as Bangkok Emergency Medical Service Center (Erawan Center).
