The event delved into Cisco\u2019s global strategy and purpose of powering an inclusive future for all, Thailand GTM priorities, and project updates under its Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thailand\u2019s digital transformation and competitiveness could unlock THB2.5 trillion<a href=\"#_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> in annual economic value by 2030, according to a recent study on the economic opportunities of digital transformation in Thailand. Kicking off its fiscal year 2023, Cisco outlined four GTM priorities it will drive in the year ahead with the government, customers, and partners \u2013 <strong>reimagine applications, transform infrastructure, secure enterprise, and power hybrid work<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Reimagine applications<\/strong>: Applications are at the center of the customer experience whether in terms of how a service is delivered or how companies build a relationship between their brand and their customers. Organizations in Thailand must reimagine how they create optimized application experiences that deploy faster, decrease network costs and latency, and simplify management. Cisco full-stack observability provides full visibility, insights, and recommended actions across the technology stack for operation teams to assess the performance of their internet, cloud network, and application services to optimize all end-user experiences.<\/li><li><strong>Transform infrastructure<\/strong>: In an app-first environment, the network is the nervous system that allows everything to work together. Today, there are 20 billion devices connected to the internet and that number will grow to 29 billion by 2023<a href=\"#_ftn2\">[2]<\/a>. Each of these will have a connection point, put more strain on the network, and will have to be managed in real time. Organizations need to transform their infrastructure with the network at its core to create and deploy their policies in an automated way to deliver a seamless experience. Cisco\u2019s Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architecture combines networking and security functions in the cloud to connect users to apps and data \u2013 in any environment, from anywhere, and control access by enforcing a consistent set of security enterprise policies.<\/li><li><strong>Secure enterprise<\/strong>: In a hybrid work world, security is not only of critical importance but it has also become more complex. Unified security experiences that secure users, applications, and devices are critical for Thai enterprises to build their business agility and resiliency. Cisco Security Cloud delivers a unified platform for end-to-end security across hybrid, multi-cloud environments and helps enterprises defend against evolving cyber threats.<\/li><li><strong>Power hybrid work<\/strong>: Work is not a place you go; it is something you do. In a new world of hybrid work, employees will work from home, the office, and anywhere in between. Organizations have to use the most reliable, secure, productive technology to empower their teams for every scenario across networking, collaboration and security. Cisco has end-to-end innovations that can enhance visibility, secure collaboration, and secure access to support all types of interactions seamlessly.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThailand is on the right trajectory to become a digital economy heavyweight in the region. As it continues to chart its next phase of growth, businesses need to transform themselves to stay relevant in the burgeoning digital economy\u201d, said <strong>Taveewat Chantaraseno, Managing Director, Cisco Thailand and Myanmar. <\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt is not just about technology \u2013 but the investment in infrastructure, tools, knowledge, and expertise that is critical to its success. Cisco remains committed to working with the government and our ecosystem partners to innovate for the future, unlock the opportunities of Thailand 4.0 and power an inclusive future for all.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To support Thailand and the government\u2019s vision for economic growth and prosperity, Cisco launched its CDA program in November 2021 with the following focus areas: Connected Healthcare, 5G for Enterprises, Smart Cities and Transportation, and Cybersecurity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At its FY23 Thailand Media Kick-off, Cisco shared key highlights of ongoing projects under its Connected Healthcare and Cybersecurity pillars:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Connected Healthcare<\/strong>: During the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Cisco worked with the Department of Disease Control to ensure the consistent storage and temperature control of Covid-19 vaccines during deployment. In partnership with vaccine distributors, Cisco provided its Meraki solution for 10 hospitals across Thailand to ensure physical security for vaccine storage, flexible vaccine deployment with mobile distribution, and remote monitoring of traffic flow to maintain social distancing. &nbsp;Cisco Meraki smart cameras and sensors limited unauthorized access to vaccines and maintain quality control over vaccine administration and ensured that freezer doors remain closed. This was seamlessly managed from a cloud-managed, centralized dashboard. Beyond traditional pharmacies and doctors\u2019 offices, Meraki\u2019s cloud-based architecture allowed for vaccines to be distributed and monitored where it is most needed. It helped to support remote deliveries and reduced patient loads inside medical facilities to limit disease transmission.<\/li><li><strong>Cybersecurity<\/strong>: Cybersecurity for a country\u2019s critical infrastructure is essential amid an evolving threat landscape. One industry that has been severely impacted has been the Oil &amp; Gas (O&amp;G) industry. Cisco is working with one of Thailand\u2019s largest O&amp;G companies to assess and improve its existing Security Operations Center (SOC) capabilities in governance and management, threat detection and response, and threat intelligence. Cisco has appointed an advising team who has worked closely with the organization\u2019s cybersecurity team to assess its cybersecurity capabilities. It now looks to provide recommendations on how it can strengthen its position, replicate success cases, and tailor key learnings and recommendations to the rest of the industry.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cisco\u2019s CDA program is a strategic partnership with governments worldwide to help them unlock the value of digitalization and create new value for their countries, industries, and citizens. Currently, Cisco works with national, state, and local governments in 44 countries, with over 1,400 active or completed projects, to accelerate their national digitalization agendas, co-develop
