Facebook has launched its latest expression tool on Messenger called Soundmojis, as part of its ongoing investment in fun and innovative features to keep people connected and give them freedom to express themselves.
As a next-level emoji, Soundmojis lets people send short sound clips in a Messenger chat, ranging from clapping , crickets ?,drumroll ?, and evil laughter
, to audio clips from favorite artists or beloved TV shows and movies like Universal Pictures’ F9 or NBC and Universal Television’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Each sound will be represented by an emoji, keeping the visual that people love, while bringing sound into the mix.

The announcement comes just in time for World Emoji Day on 17 July, where Facebook is celebrating the more than 2.4 billion messages with emojis sent on Messenger every day – with women globally creating more posts containing emojis than men over the last three months. Emojis add color and vibrancy to Messenger chats all over the world, and everyone relies on them to say what words can’t.
For Thailand, each generation has their own favorite emojis to express their feelings, with Gen Zs using the ️,? and

One area where all Thais are united is our love of food. Out of the new food and beverages emojis in Facebook’s most feature update, bubble tea topped the list in Thailand, while the country also showed its sweet tooth in its overall top five F&B emojis:

To check out the brand new Soundmojis feature, enter their Messenger app, start a chat, tap the smiley face to open the expressions menu and select the loudspeaker icon. From there, you can preview and send your favorite Soundmojis again and again.
