INFOFED launched “eArena MQDC BOOTCAMP”, the first comprehensive esports bootcamp

Infofed Co., Ltd. joined hands with MQDC and Translusia Metaverse to uplift ecosystem level and accelerate Thai esport value to open the first comprehensive esports bootcamp with world-class standard in ASEAN which include both facilities and activities to promote and develop Thai youth to be professional esport player with competency to step up into international stages. Infofed is now opening to co-work with partners in order to fulfill the Thai esport ecosystem with an aim to have more than 1,000,000 users through various community groups within 2023.

Jirayod Theppipit, CEO and founder of Infofed Co., Ltd. disclosed that the esport trend is now growing up sharply and steadily especially from Generation Z group.  Covid-19 has stimulated the growth of esport businesses. Gaming Research by Newzoo has anticipated that there would be 5,100,000 esport viewers in Thailand in 2022 and up 20% year on year which is considered as the high growth.  The rapid growth has impacted the industry as it grows out of order and without clear promotion and operation plans including academic plan –teaching and developing required skills as well as facilities that are well designed to support the growth of the industry.

“From the pain points, we; therefore, developed this facility –eArena MQDC BOOTCAMP, which is the first standard facility in ASEAN.  The bootcamp was designed to be used for esport athlete training and development.  We have collaborated with MQDC to co-design and develop the eArena MQDC BOOTCAMP which has full facilities and also academic programs for esport athletes and esports enthusiasts. There are both theory and practice programs including playing tactic development, nutrition programs, and physical as well as mental development programs. In addition, the bootcamp is designed to be used for content creation relating to esports and games, eArena MQDC BOOTCAMP is also a venue for The Streamers TV program production,” said Mr. Jirayod.

Assada Kaeokhiao, Chief Operating Officer, Business Unit1, MQDC said that the venue was at the location which used to be the space creating dream and success of the youth participating in True Academy Fantasia, the first popular reality show program in Thailand and was further developed to be eArena MQDC BOOTCAMP which would be the space creating dream and success of new borning stars in esport to build Thailand’s reputation in global stages.  The eArena MQDC BOOTCAMP is the world class standard esport bootcamp with care for surroundings including society, environment, country, and the world to ensure happy living life with sustainability as the “for All Well-Being” mission. The challenge is to push the esport industry forward in TRANSLUSIA Metaverse.

However, MQDC has seen the importance of direction in building communities in the virtual world and making it tangible as well as connecting it to the new generation lifestyle and communities –gamers, influencers, viewers, and all users. The eArena MQDC BOOTCAMP will create a full ecosystem from the foundation to competitions on a global level by connecting the present world and metaverse together for brand and Gen Z customer groups.

Athid Nanthawaroon, Executive Director of TRANSLUCIA, the founder and developer of the infinite universe of interconnectivity with other metaverses an affiliated company of T&B Media Global Thailand Co., Ltd. revealed that TRANSLUCIA has been spotted at esport business and seen it rapidly expanded and grown along with technologies that have continuously developed.  In addition, metaverse will help level up esport businesses in terms of competition formats, athlete development, and game viewing of viewers to be real.  This partnership will further support business potential to develop Thai esport to play roles in the global level and develop Thailand to be an esport hub that will build communities to regional level, develop and uplift experiences for the arena.

Jirayod revealed “eArena MQDC BOOTCAMP,  the first comprehensive esports bootcamp with world-class standard in ASEAN, is the esport athlete development center that has had outstanding outcomes from both domestic and international levels.  In the bootcamp, there are 3 key activities –eArena Professional athletes management, developing programs relating to game and esport for interested persons, and creating gaming and esports contents in variety forms.  These are aligning with our roadmap that we have put in place in 2022.  In 2023, we have aimed to create communities with over 1,000,000 users participating in our various activities.  In addition, we have also aimed to expand our businesses to South East Asia in 2024 and in 2025, we have a mission to fully take both domestic and South East Asia community groups to the world of  Metaverse.”

Jirayod further stated that now Infofed is still looking for additional partners who are interested in co-promote and co-develop the Thai esport ecosystem to have capability to compete on an international level.
