OpenAI and Fellow Intelligence have announced a partnership to help businesses across Thailand adopt AI and deploy the technology within their organizations.
Announced at the Techsauce Global Summit 2026, the partnership combines OpenAI’s frontier AI technology with Fellow Intelligence’s local enterprise expertise. The initiative aims to support Thai organizations as they transition from AI experimentation to full deployment across core business workflows.
Positioning itself as OpenAI’s first boutique consulting partner in the Asia-Pacific region, Fellow Intelligence serves as an official reseller in Thailand. The firm offers ChatGPT Enterprise and Education licensing, capability assessments, hands-on workshops, hackathons, and change management programs executed alongside its parent company, Thinking Machines Data Science. Together, Fellow Intelligence and Thinking Machines report upskilling over 10,000 professionals and co-building more than 3,450 custom AI assistants for enterprise clients, including CPF, CPN, the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), King Power, Sansiri, and UNDP.
The partnership comes as AI adoption in Thailand accelerates. Sid Sharma, Head of Go to Market, ASEAN at OpenAI, revealed that Thailand ranks among the top 20 countries globally for weekly ChatGPT and Codex usage, with local Codex adoption growing 350-fold in recent months. Additionally, approximately 30% of consumer messages sent to ChatGPT in Thailand are work-related.
“Thailand has quickly become one of the region’s most active AI markets, and we’re seeing businesses move beyond experimentation towards putting AI to work in meaningful ways,” said Sharma. “Fellow Intelligence brings deep local expertise and experience helping organizations navigate that transition. Together, we want to make it easier for more Thai businesses to access frontier AI capabilities and turn them into real outcomes.”
Data from OpenAI’s latest report shows that “frontier firms”—organizations leading in AI integration—generate approximately eight times the output of peers remaining in pilot phases. This performance gap expanded nearly threefold over a five-month period. Sharma stated that the true measure of AI value lies in “useful intelligence per dollar,” referring to task completion reliability and cumulative value over time, rather than model selection or token costs.
“An 8x output gap sounds intimidating, but in our experience, it isn’t,” said Kamin Phakdurong, CEO of Fellow Intelligence. “Thai professionals already have a baseline fluency with ChatGPT, with a third of local usage being work-related. The real gap isn’t readiness; it’s the distance between staff using AI individually and organizations embedding it into critical workflows. ChatGPT Enterprise, combined with proper training, is where we start to expand the number of frontier firms in Thailand.”
For Thai enterprises, the partnership provides local operational support, including Thai Baht invoicing, dedicated deployment assistance, and training delivered by local specialists. OpenAI framed the expansion as a long-term commitment to the market, with Sharma adding that OpenAI intends to build “with Thailand, within Thailand, and with developers and the ecosystem here in Bangkok.”
