Makro partners with RELEX using AI to enhance space and floor planning

Siam Makro, a prominent wholesale center in Thailand, has announced an expansion of their existing partnership with RELEX Solutions, a provider of integrated supply chain and retail planning solutions.

The expanded collaboration will involve leveraging RELEX’s AI-powered tools to improve space and floor planning, automate space management, and optimize planograms. These efforts are aimed at driving sales growth across all Siam Makro locations, while ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and enhancing end-to-end supply chain capabilities.

According to Paul Howe, CIO of Siam Makro, this partnership with RELEX will improve operational efficiency and automation, while integrating AI-powered space and supply chain processes to further unify optimization strategies and enhance retail planning.

Frank Lord, Chief Revenue Officer at RELEX, expressed excitement about the opportunity to deliver even greater value for Siam Makro. By consolidating core retail planning processes in a centralized solution, Siam Makro can achieve cross-functional optimization across their supply chain and space management, leading to improved business outcomes.

RELEX Space and Floor Planning offers several highlighted features, including the ability to create store-specific planograms at scale. Retailers can benefit from higher availability and significant sales increases by automating locally optimized and store-specific planograms with RELEX.

Additionally, the solution leverages RELEX’s AI-driven demand forecasts to ensure that store space is aligned with customer demand, leading to reduced inventory holding and increased straight-to-shelf replenishment. By optimizing store space and inventory levels in this way, retailers can improve their overall profitability and customer satisfaction.
