Highlighting Thailand’s position on the global stage, the company is providing specialized 5G support for CNN’s New Year’s Eve 2025 live broadcast, which has selected ICONSIAM as its primary Asia-Pacific hub. To manage the surge in data traffic, True has activated a dedicated Network Operations War Room, effective from today through January 5, 2026.

Utilizing advanced Mobility Data from the previous year, True identified a sharp increase in interprovincial travel, particularly to the Northeast (+13%) and North (+7%). In response, the company has deployed:
- Cell-on-Wheels (COWs): Rapid-deployment mobile units at high-density celebration sites.
- Temporary Base Stations: Strategically placed at transport hubs, rest areas, and major religious sites.
- Signal Tuning: Fine-tuning parameters for 5G, 4G, and WiFi to prioritize high-definition video uploads and live-streaming.
Nationwide Network Expansion
True has expanded high-capacity coverage across all key regions to support the extended public holiday:
- North: Focused reinforcement in Chiang Mai (MAYA Countdown), Chiang Rai, and Phetchabun.
- Northeast: Enhanced performance in Buriram, Khon Kaen, and Nakhon Ratchasima.
