AIS has announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2026, reporting total revenue of 58,197 million baht and a net profit of 13,496 million baht. The company’s performance underscores its commitment to sustainable growth as a leader in intelligent infrastructure, driven by a focus on high-quality digital experiences despite global and domestic economic uncertainties.
In 2026, AIS is prioritizing a multi-dimensional digital transformation, strengthening the nation’s infrastructure across mobile networks, fixed broadband, cloud, and data centers. The company is actively integrating AI to revolutionize customer experience, highlighted by the launch of “AIS 5G-ADVANCED,” Southeast Asia’s first upgraded network standard designed for the AI era. Additional initiatives include the AISpace hub and the “Aunjai Cyber AI Literacy” program, aimed at fostering sustainable digital skills among Thais.
The company is also diversifying its revenue streams through new growth engines in retail, entertainment, sports content, and digital finance. Coupled with effective cost management, these strategic expansions have allowed AIS to maintain its performance in line with its quarterly guidance.
Core Business Performance
- Mobile Business: The subscriber base grew to 46.9 million, an increase of 170,200 from the previous quarter. This was bolstered by a high-quality user focus and a 5G network that now covers over 95% of the population. 5G users surged to 18.5 million, contributing to a 7.6% Year-on-Year (YoY) revenue growth.
- Fixed Broadband (AIS 3BB FIBRE3): Total subscribers reached 5.3 million, with an addition of 63,400 new users this quarter. Driven by innovative packages like Super FAST and Home FibreLAN, along with premium sports content (EPL, NBA, NFL), the segment saw a 8.7% YoY revenue increase.
- Enterprise Business: Despite volatility, enterprise revenue grew 1.7% YoY. Growth was fueled by demand for 5G solutions, data networks, and data center services, supporting Thailand’s transition toward a “Sustainable Nation” and a hub for global AI investment.
New Ventures and Future Outlook
AIS continues to build “New Growth Engines” through its retail segment, offering lifestyle gadgets like LINK UP accessories and pet trackers. In entertainment, the company recently introduced “Verticaltainment,” a new content format featuring vertical series tailored for modern viewing habits.
For the remainder of 2026, AIS maintains a capital expenditure (CAPEX) budget of 30,000–35,000 million baht. These funds are dedicated to advancing 5G technology, expanding high-speed broadband, and collaborating with global partners to cultivate a secure AI ecosystem that supports Thailand’s digital economy.
