SCB 10X backs Tasklet in US$ 12.8 million funding round

SCB 10X ลงทุนใน Tasklet มองโอกาส AI Agent รับผิดชอบงานธุรกิจต่อเนื่อง

SCB 10X, the technology investment arm of SCBX Group, has invested in Tasklet as part of an additional US$12.8 million funding round for the business workflow automation platform.

Other investors participating in the round included Union Square Ventures, 359 Capital, Uncorrelated, Robinhood Ventures, Rakesh Agrawal, and Patrick and John Collison. The size of SCB 10X’s investment was not disclosed.

Tasklet develops artificial intelligence agents designed to carry out operational tasks across business applications. Users describe a workflow in everyday language, and the agents connect to relevant tools and data to execute it.

The platform aims to extend the use of AI beyond assistants that respond to individual requests, allowing businesses to delegate recurring work to agents that retain context and act on schedules or in response to specific events.

Pailin Vichakul, Chief Investment Officer at SCB 10X, said the company saw a long-term opportunity for AI agents to support ongoing business workflows.

“We see a significant long-term opportunity for AI agents to move beyond individual tasks and support ongoing business workflows,” she said.

Tasklet was founded by Andrew Lee and Jonny Dimond, drawing on their experience developing Shortwave, an AI-powered email platform. Lee also co-founded Firebase, which Google acquired in 2014.

The company says its agents can work across business applications and browser environments, retaining relevant information through memory. Its enterprise offering includes permission settings, security features and controls intended to help organisations manage how agents access systems and perform tasks.

Andrew Lee, Co-founder and CEO at Tasklet, said wider adoption would depend on agents having the tools and safeguards needed to operate reliably within businesses.

“We believe the next phase of AI for businesses is not just about helping people work faster, but enabling companies to delegate real work and ongoing responsibilities to AI agents,” he said.

SCB 10X said the team’s experience with Firebase and Shortwave was a factor in its decision to support the company, alongside Tasklet’s work on connectivity, collaboration and enterprise controls.

According to SCB 10X, it has deployed more than US$500 million globally into startups in AI, blockchain and financial technology since 2016. Its portfolio includes Together AI, Pagaya, Ripple, Fireblocks and Anchorage Digital.
