AIS wins Autonomous Network Leadership Award for 4th year

AIS คว้ารางวัลผู้นำ Autonomous Network จาก FutureNet Asia 2026 ต่อเนื่องปีที่ 4

AIS has won the “Autonomous Network Operator Leadership Award” at FutureNet Asia Awards 2026 for the fourth consecutive year, recognizing its integration of AI and automation into network management. The achievement marks progress toward Autonomous Network Levels 4 and 5, building a National Intelligent Infrastructure to support Thailand’s digital economy and AI ecosystem.

As part of this deployment, AIS launched 5G-ADVANCED in Southeast Asia by combining AI with 3CC and 2CC carrier aggregation technologies to enhance network capacity, speed, and service density. The 5G Uplink 2CC network, using 2600 MHz and 700 MHz spectrum, achieves 100% coverage across Bangkok and its metropolitan area, alongside coverage in the main districts of all 77 provinces.

Wasit Wattanasap, Head of Nationwide Operations and Support Business Unit at AIS, stated: “Network development today is about evolving beyond connectivity to become intelligent digital infrastructure that can effectively support the economy and society in the AI era. AIS is integrating AI and automation across multiple dimensions of network management, from analysing customer service issues to identify root causes and resolve them more quickly, to automatically detecting and correcting network anomalies. These capabilities also enable the network to continuously analyse and adjust its operations in response to changing conditions and usage patterns.

“This award reflects AIS’s sustained commitment to developing an Autonomous Network with greater intelligence and automation. Our goal is to improve operational efficiency, ensure service continuity and elevate customer experience, while supporting the future growth of digital services and AI technologies.”

Organized by FutureNet World, the FutureNet Asia Awards 2026 presents the Autonomous Network Operator Leadership Award to organizations demonstrating enterprise-scale implementation of AI and automation toward Autonomous Network Levels 4/5. AIS developed these capabilities in collaboration with Huawei to align its infrastructure with regional digital economy demands.
