BEYOND Expo 2026 Concludes in Macao, Spotlighting ‘Physical AI’

The 6th BEYOND Expo has officially concluded at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo, successfully delivering on its mission of “Empowering Asia, Bridging the World.” Anchored by the theme “AI: Digital to Physical,” this year’s heavyweight event brought the latest tech breakthroughs into the global spotlight, demonstrating how artificial intelligence is moving beyond screens and cloud models into real-world execution, robotics, wearable devices, and industrial systems.

The high-profile event drew over 30,000 visitors from more than 120 countries and regions. The expo kicked off with a massive Media Day featuring over 500 international news organizations and key opinion leaders (KOLs), followed by an Opening Ceremony that attracted over 1,000 global dignitaries, corporate executives, and investors from China, the US, the EU, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and South America.

“BEYOND Expo aims to connect Asian innovation with global partners, creating more opportunities for exchange in technology, investment, sports, and entertainment,” said Jason Ho, Co-Founder of BEYOND Expo, during the opening ceremony.

“We don’t just have brilliant software companies building AI models; we have the powerhouse factories, advanced hardware innovators, and the infrastructure that actually gives AI its physical body… From next-gen chips to Physical AI, we don’t just design the digital future—we actually manufacture it.”

The opening segments featured insights from global tech pioneers, including Deepu Talla, Vice President of Robotics & Edge AI at NVIDIA; Matt White, Global Chief Technology Officer for AI at the Linux Foundation; and Felix Zhang, Founder and CEO of Pudu Robotics, among others.

Nearly 800 exhibitors showcased cutting-edge technologies spanning humanoids, aviation, healthcare, smart homes, and spatial computing. For the first time, BEYOND Expo shined a spotlight on independent creators and grassroots developers.

“BEYOND Expo remains committed to being at the forefront of technology,” emphasized Dr. Lu Gang, Co-Founder of BEYOND Expo, at the closing ceremony.

“We didn’t just invite so-called big names in AI. This year, for the first time, we focused on OPCs (one-person companies) and paid more attention to programmers, because they have the potential to become unicorns in the future. The youngest hacker in our AI HACK Day was just nine years old. This is really the future.”

The event featured the BGlobal New Product Launch, debuting revolutionary products from industry leaders like Aerofugia (production aircraft and eVTOL battery), iFLYTEK (AI smart glasses), and Zero Zero Robotics (HOVERAir AQUA). To honor outstanding technological advancements, the ‘BEYOND Best of Innovation’ Awards were presented to trailblazing companies including LimX Dynamics, DEEPRobotics, Galbot, Even Realities, and Plaud.

Connecting Startups with Global Capital

Across seven main stages, the expo hosted packed summits covering international financing, Physical AI, and cross-regional forums (including Japan, Korea, Europe, and Latin America).

A major highlight of the Closing Ceremony was the finals of the Fund at First Pitch (FAFP). Selected from over 300 hopeful tech startups, six finalists pitched their products—ranging from stylish smart jewelry to an emotion-sensitive hugging bear—to a star-studded panel of judges including Kun Gao, Founder of Crunchyroll; Cynthia Zhang, Founder of FutureX Capital; Morgan Samet, Managing Partner at Lingotto Innovation Strategy; and Metta World Peace, Chairman at Artest Management Group.

Addressing the startup community, Kun Gao encouraged founders to look beyond their technical brilliance and master the art of storytelling to effectively attract investors and strategic partners.

The final day also highlighted the BEYOND AI Day, which featured Demo Hack Day presentations and Macao’s first ClawCon, inspiring a new generation of builders, makers, and developers—from junior-school age upwards—to apply AI tools across diverse real-world scenarios.

With its multi-dimensional exploration of embodied intelligence and global capital, BEYOND Expo 2026 has firmly established itself as a premier global innovation exchange platform that transcends industries and ecosystems.
