UOB Thailand and Thammasat Business School have launched a strategic academic collaboration to develop the “NextGen Leadership Excellence: Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders Today” programme. The initiative is designed to enhance the expertise of UOB’s SME Banking advisory teams, supporting the sustainable growth of SME clients through advanced professional skills.

Under this partnership, the curriculum focuses on strategic thinking, business acumen, AI-driven solutions, and professional communication. The programme utilizes experiential learning, including interactive workshops, case studies, and lectures from global experts, ensuring participants can effectively apply global business trends to the local SME sector.

Sayumrat Maranate, Head of SME Banking, UOB Thailand, stated that the bank prioritizes people development to meet diverse customer needs. She noted that the programme equips advisors to combine technological precision with deep business understanding, enabling the delivery of tailored financial solutions for client growth.

Assistant Professor Dr. Nopthanit Chotisarn, Associate Dean at Thammasat University, added that the collaboration, which began in 2017, has been updated to reflect the current business landscape. The revised curriculum integrates AI technology for workshops and simulations, ensuring bank personnel are prepared to offer customized advice and solve real-world business problems.

Through this partnership with Thammasat Business School, UOB Thailand continues to strengthen its advisory capabilities, aiming to provide differentiated services and facilitate the long-term growth of its SME customers.
