rue Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Medicine at Thammasat University, Thammasat University Hospital, and EGG Digital to integrate medical expertise with digital technologies and drive Healthcare AI adoption in Thailand. As part of the agreement, the organizations established the “Thammasat–True AI Health Innovation Hub” to serve as a national platform for medical AI collaboration, patient care enhancement, administrative optimization, and workforce upskilling through True Digital Academy.
The MOU outlines academic and technological collaboration across six key pillars of AI, Data, and Intelligent Healthcare Transformation:
- AI and Digital Upskilling: Developing digital capabilities for faculty, physicians, and staff across all levels.
- EMR and AI Foundations: Training medical students on AI tools and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) management.
- Medical AI Research: Integrating EMR data with EGG Digital’s technology to build Health Score models and AI Clinical Intelligence systems for screening, diagnosis, and decision support.
- Thammasat–True AI Health Innovation Hub: Creating a central platform for research, health solution development, and knowledge exchange.
- Graduate Curriculum Development: Introducing a new graduate program in Medical Digital Technology within the Faculty of Medicine for academic year 2027.
- Real-World Application: Translating research into clinical practice and operational pilots under legal and ethical standards.
Sarinra Wongsuppaluk, Chief Human Resources Officer at True Corporation Plc, stated that True is advancing its “AI-First Company” strategy under the “AI for All Thais” vision. Through this partnership, True provides its digital infrastructure, ethical AI solutions, and training via True Digital Academy to build an AI-ready medical workforce and translate academic research into clinical use cases.
Associate Professor Auchara Tangsathapornpong, MD, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Thammasat University, noted that the institution prioritizes building AI and digital health skills among students and faculty. The initiative aims to support medical education, research, and patient care while adhering to safety and ethical frameworks.
Associate Professor Dilok Piyayotai, MD, Director of Thammasat University Hospital, stated that the hospital focuses on patient-centric care supported by AI and health data analytics. The new hub will help train staff, optimize hospital administration, and improve overall service quality.
Tippawan Vongthammachart, General Manager – Business Analytics AI & Consultation at EGG Digital Co., Ltd., highlighted that EGG Digital will contribute data analytics and AI solutions through two main initiatives:
- Smart Hospital Capabilities: Implementing Health Score models for personalized preventive care and Health Dashboards to help clinicians forecast patient trends and manage hospital resources.
- Smart Campus Development: Enhancing research lab modeling with AI infrastructure and promoting AI for productivity among students, faculty, and staff.
