Gojek, Southeast Asia’s leading mobile on-demand services platform, today announced the launch of credit and debit card acceptance as an additional payment method for GoFood to further enhanceuser experience and reduce friction for its users, merchant partners and driver partners. This latest development builds on Gojek’s commitment to offering contactless delivery to ensure the safety of both its users and drivers amid the pandemic.
Gojek currently offers a variety of payment methods on food orders, including cash and GoPay e-wallet. Users can now also enjoy a seamless, convenient transaction experience through the addition of Visa, Mastercard and JCB credit and debit card acceptance; while Gojek merchant partners will benefit from increased sales without processing fees, maximum transaction amount or the need to register.

As part of the launch, Gojek is rolling out a slew of new promotions in collaboration with leading banking partners – UOB, KTC, SCB and Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited – with discounts of up to Bt100 and up to Bt18,000 cash back on GoFood orders starting from May 18, 2021. The company plans to expand its partnerships to additional banking partners in the near future.
- UOB – All users are eligible to receive a 100THB discount on GoFood orders of Bt200 or more after completing their first order with a UOB credit card (limited redemption, valid until July 18, 2021).
- KTC – All users are eligible to receive a Bt100 discount on GoFood orders of Bt200 or more after completing their first order with a KTC credit card (limited redemption, valid until June 30, 2021). Users can also redeem 399 KTC FOREVER points on KTC Mobile for a Bt50 discount on a minimum GoFood purchase of Bt150 (limited redemption, valid until Dec 31, 2021).
- SCB – All users are eligible to receive up to Bt200 cash back per month on GoFood orders without having to register through SMS, deposited into their SCB credit card or LET’S SCB mastercard account (limited redemption, valid until June 30, 2021).
- Bangkok Bank – All users are eligible to receive cash back up to 18% (maximum Bt18,000 throughout the campaign period), deposited into their Bangkok Bank credit card account when redeeming Thank You Reward points equivalent to total purchase amount (limited redemption, valid until July 31, 2021).
