Bangkok Land launches ‘Lenôtre Culinary Arts School Thailand’ the first in Southeast Asia

Bangkok Land Plc. opened Lenôtre Culinary Arts School Thailand, the first in Southeast Asia with a reputation and culinary expertise from Lenôtre Paris, France. The school will offer cooking experience from professional French chefs through courses on French cuisine, pastries, and bread for culinary aficionados across Asia who are interested in cooking without traveling far.

Paul-Kanjanapas

Paul Kanjanapas, Chief Executive Officer of Bangkok Land Public Company Limited, said, “Thailand is considered a center of tourism along with the business events and food industries that generate top income for the country. Each year, Thailand has new restaurants that offer a diversity of styles and types of cuisines, including fine dining and street food. Many restaurants in Thailand have also received more and more “MICHELIN Stars” every year. However, our company sees that while the food industry is growing rapidly, Thailand does not have many cooking schools.

Therefore, we partnered with Lenôtre Paris, France, to bring France’s most prestigious culinary arts school to Thailand under Lenôtre Culinary Arts School Thailand, the first and only in Southeast Asia. The construction of the school began at the end of 2021 by the lake of Muang Thong Thani, with an investment budget of 800-1,000 million baht that covers the school buildings and operating systems.

Lenôtre Culinary Arts School Thailand is committed to passing on cooking skills from a team of professional chefs who value culinary excellence to meet the needs of students from all sectors in Southeast Asia. It is determined to teach all students through hands-on experiences using kitchenware and ingredients carefully selected from leading brands worldwide and operated by professional chefs.

“The launch of Lenôtre Culinary Arts School Thailand is a great opportunity for Thai and Asian culinary enthusiasts to learn about French culinary culture directly from experienced chefs from Lenôtre Paris, France. What distinguishes Lenôtre’s curriculum from other culinary schools is that Lenôtre does not teach students to be star chefs but equips them with unique French cooking skills to build a strong foundation that can lead to further food industry development.”

Lenôtre Culinary Arts School Thailand offers chef diploma programs and short training courses to meet the different needs of students. A team of professional French instructors and chefs with training and standard practice from Lenôtre Paris will instruct all the classes.

The programs are divided into two levels: Chef Diploma Courses and Short Training Courses. Chef Diploma Courses are offered in 3 programs: 1. Cuisine Chef Diploma – for people who want to be professional chefs or change careers and become a professional Chef Cuisenaire. The training period is 840 hours. 2. Patisserie Chef Diploma – for people who wish to become a professional Chef Pâtissier. The training period is 840 hours. 3. Boulangerie Chef Diploma – for people who wish to become a professional Chef Boulanger. The training period is 520 hours.

Short Training Courses are suitable for those with no background in savory or pastry cuisine and professionals who want to enhance their skills and expand their businesses. Special training in different seasons and festivals is also offered. Training periods are 4 hours or more.

“Lenôtre Culinary Arts School Thailand will help fulfill the needs of people in Asia who have a passion for cooking without travelling to Europe to take courses. Not only are the tuition fees lower, but the classes are conducted based on the guidelines set by Lenôtre Paris, France. With a professional teaching team from France, you can rest assured that Lenôtre Thailand offers the same learning experience as Lenôtre Paris, France, where studying at Lenôtre is not just about attending classes to get savory or pastry recipes. Instead, you will get hands-on experience through invaluable training and dedication from professionals.”

Paul further stated that every year the company invests at least 2 billion baht in the food business of our affiliated companies, including branch expansion, menu research and development, and personnel development to strengthen all dimensions of the business of Bangkok Land Public Company Limited. We continue to invest in this section because we believe that it will keep growing in the future. In addition, the opening of Lenôtre Culinary Arts School Thailand is also important in enhancing the skills and creating good standards for our personnel at Bangkok Land Plc. This also marks a new destination for visitors, which will add more vibrancy to Muang Thong Thani besides the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Cosmo Bazaar, and Outlet Square Muang Thong Thani.

“Lenôtre Culinary Arts School Thailand is the first branch outside of France. Therefore, it is significant to reinforce and emphasize that Thailand is a center of tourism and the business events industry. It is also an important starting point to help drive Thailand toward a new form of tourism, namely food tourism, which will further boost the Thai economy.”
