MAKE by KBank celebrates more than 2 million users in two years

KASIKORN Business-Technology Group (KBTG) is pleased to announce that the number of its MAKE by KBank users has now reached an impressive milestone, surpassing 2 million within two years, a clear indication that its commitment to promoting financial literacy is resonating with Thais. To better meet the needs of MAKE by KBank users, KBTG is pressing ahead with the enhancement of its various features in order to reach the target of 5 million users in the next three years.

Exceptional features of MAKE by KBank that facilitate users’ spending and financial management include the following:

  • Cloud Pocket – Helping financial management by separating funds in the account into several pockets per the owner’s objectives, such as saving, spending, and travel. An unlimited number of pockets can be created, and users can insert photos, name each pocket, and set goals to create inspiration for their financial management. Cloud Pockets can also be locked to prevent users from unintended spending. For those wishing to save money with friends, partners or families, the Shared Cloud Pocket feature is available through the addition of members in the process of Cloud Pocket creation. Potential objectives of Shared Cloud Pocket include saving for marriage or making trips, among others.
  • Expense Summary – Summarizing monthly spending. Spending details are classified in accordance with the Cloud Pocket’s actual use, and withdrawn funds are grouped into different types, in order to allow users to monitor their monthly spending in a simple manner.
  • Pop Pay – Offering contactless funds transfer and payment via Bluetooth within a distance of 10 meters. This innovation allows users’ convenient, fast and safe funds transfer and payment to their friends or other MAKE by KBank users without having to use account numbers or phone numbers.
  • Schedule Transfer (the latest feature in 2023) – Allowing scheduled funds transfer of up to 20 transactions, allocating funds to Cloud Pockets automatically. Users can set the amount of money, source and destination pockets, and desired transfer date, saving time and effort in making monthly funds transfer on the app.

Users will also earn a high interest rate of 1.5 percent p.a. for the initial deposit of 100,000 Baht.

MAKE by KBank is aimed at promoting savings and financial discipline, allowing users to manage their money more easily and efficiently. They can set a savings goal for each pocket, track expenses, and make financial plans for the future. According to usage statistics, 78 percent of MAKE by KBank’s main users are people younger than 30 years old. Cloud Pockets with the highest transaction volume are restricted savings, food costs, savings, and expenses. Meanwhile, Cloud Pockets that saw a rapid growth usage compared to others created in 2022 are retirement savings, increasing by 353 percent, followed by fitness costs, medical expenses, supplements, fuel costs, and donations.
