True Corporation Public Company Limited has presented its “AI for Thailand” vision to develop a Trusted AI Ecosystem. The strategy aims to accelerate industrial AI adoption and transition the company into an “AI-First Organization” by integrating AI into its network, services, and digital platforms to drive operational productivity and personalize digital customer experiences.
Joao Pedro Azevedo Oliveira, Chief Data and AI Officer at True Corporation, spoke at the panel session “Powering Thailand’s AI Future: Data, Connectivity, and Compute,” stating that AI’s economic impact extends to business operations, public service delivery, and global competitiveness. True’s framework combines connectivity, cloud, compute, and trusted data to establish a national AI ecosystem supporting businesses and public infrastructure.
Building the Digital Foundations for AI

True’s AI strategy is structured around six integrated operational pillars:
- Nationwide Intelligent Connectivity
- Cloud & Compute Ecosystem
- Trusted Data
- AI Platforms & Applications
- Responsible AI Governance
- AI Skills & Workforce Development
Under the infrastructure phase, True is deploying Generative AI into network operations, expanding edge computing for real-time AI processing, and scaling cloud and compute capacities via True IDC to support enterprise workloads. The data pillar focuses on information governance, security, and privacy to optimize network performance and analyze customer needs for product development.
Turning AI Strategy into Action

Operationally, the company has established the “True AI Hub” to grant enterprises secure access to commercial AI models, AI agents, and specialized AI services. Internally,
True has deployed “Mari,” an AI-powered assistant for customer service and frontline employee support, alongside “Genie,” an AI platform utilized with edge computing to automate network optimization, reduce operational energy consumption, and manage network performance.
Responsible AI and Building AI Talent
To manage technical compliance, True introduced its Responsible AI Policy earlier this year to establish standards for transparent and secure AI utilization. Furthermore, the company is training its workforce through a network of 200 “AI Champions,” who have trained over 10,000 employees. True is also collaborating with academic institutions, government bodies, and industry partners—including Google—to scale external AI skills.
Joao stated that the operational metric for AI relies on integrating the technology into daily decision-making, business processes, and customer touchpoints. True plans to continue its capital investments across digital infrastructure, data asset governance, and public-private sector talent development to anchor the country’s long-term digital transformation.
