ONYX Hospitality Group, the management company behind hotel and residence brands including Amari, OZO, Shama, and Oriental Residence, has adopted AIS Cloud powered by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure—Thailand’s first Thai-owned and operated hyperscale cloud service—to strengthen its digital infrastructure. The deployment connects ONYX’s headquarters with its properties across Asia-Pacific to streamline operational systems, enable efficient cross-border data sharing, and enhance collaboration.
The cloud infrastructure supports high-volume data processing across enterprise resource planning (ERP), data analytics, and hotel operational systems, while establishing a foundation for future AI and automation integration. Combined with local data governance and on-ground Thai tech support from AIS Business, the platform provides the operational flexibility needed to support ONYX’s plan to expand its portfolio from more than 45 properties to over 70 by 2030.
This digital shift comes as the Asia-Pacific tourism market experiences rapid growth. Citing World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) figures, the region’s travel and tourism GDP contribution grew 8.1% in 2025 to reach USD 3.29 trillion—the highest growth rate globally. To maintain competitiveness, ONYX is building a centralized cloud Data Warehouse that consolidates guest, booking, and operational data. This platform feeds into its CRM system to generate customer insights and deliver personalized guest experiences.
Phiphat Khanonwet, Head of Information Technology at ONYX Hospitality Group, stated that achieving the company’s vision to be the best medium-sized hospitality management company in Asia-Pacific requires a solid technology foundation. He noted that technology serves as a key enabler for elevating guest experiences and empowering staff, while providing the scalability needed for long-term growth.
Phupa Akavipat, Chief Enterprise Business Officer at Advanced Info Service (AIS), added that cloud technology has become strategic infrastructure for business transformation. He highlighted that the partnership demonstrates how a locally operated hyperscale cloud can help Thai hospitality brands scale seamlessly across international markets while maintaining data control and operational agility.
