คินดริลจับมือกรุงศรี ต่อสัญญา 5 ปี ดึง AI ยกระดับระบบ Core Banking

Kyndryl , an enterprise technology services provider, announced the renewal of its long-standing partnership with Bank of Ayudhya PCL (Krungsri) for five years. Under the agreement, Kyndryl will support Krungsri in improving the efficiency and resiliency of its IT operations while accelerating core banking transformation through Kyndryl Bridge, operational automation, AI-powered systems, Mainframe-as-a-Service capabilities, and application modernization services.

As Thailand advances toward an innovative digital financial system, Krungsri is modernizing the technology environment supporting its core banking operations. To deliver seamless, intelligent financial experiences in a digital-first environment, Krungsri is investing in technology and digital capabilities. Kyndryl will support this by upgrading the underlying technology foundation of Krungsri’s core banking environment through managed services, modernization expertise, and AI-driven operations. Using Kyndryl Bridge, an AI-powered open integration platform, the engagement aims to reduce manual IT activities, strengthen infrastructure monitoring, and optimize batch processing.

Resilient IT Needed to Match Changing Industry Demands

Kenichi Yamato, President and Chief Executive Officer of Krungsri, stated that technological progress, evolving customer expectations, regulatory shifts, and new financial models are requiring traditional banking approaches to be reassessed. He noted that keeping pace requires resilient, flexible, and scalable IT infrastructure, where Kyndryl’s domain expertise will assist in modernizing Krungsri’s IT framework to advance its customer-centric vision and personalized offerings.

Kittipong Asawapichayon, Managing Director of Kyndryl Thailand, highlighted that the partnership continues to align with Krungsri’s technology goals. By combining familiarity with Krungsri’s environment with Kyndryl Consult, Kyndryl Bridge, automation, and AI expertise, Kyndryl will support the data center infrastructure behind the bank’s core operations, including its nationwide network. He added that Kyndryl’s mainframe expertise, global talent pool, and agentic AI capabilities will allow the company to scale transformation support effectively.

Under the renewed contract, Krungsri will utilize Kyndryl’s managed services, consulting expertise, and AI-driven operational capabilities across its data center environment, including the infrastructure supporting more than 4,800 ATMs nationwide. Kyndryl will also apply agentic AI capabilities to support modernization, operational transformation, and intelligent automation across Krungsri’s technology ecosystem.

Deploying Mainframe-as-a-Service and Kyndryl Agentic AI Framework

Kyndryl will deliver a flexible Mainframe-as-a-Service model to provide processing capacity and operational support for Krungsri’s financial technology transformation. The engagement will employ the Kyndryl Agentic AI Framework to orchestrate AI-enabled workflows, covering application and infrastructure analysis, operational automation, and targeted modernization initiatives. This approach is designed to reduce manual workload and increase operational efficiency while maintaining human oversight.

The renewed contract expands on previous joint initiatives between Kyndryl and Krungsri, which included network modernization, cloud adoption, workplace transformation, and IT service enhancements. The extended partnership broadens this scope to infrastructure and mainframe services, alongside AI-enabled capabilities, to support Krungsri’s core banking environment and long-term organizational transformation goals.
