The Ministry of Defence, AIS, and the Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organization), or DGA, have launched the “Cyber Resilience and Artificial Intelligence Capability Development Program for Armed Forces Personnel and Their Families.” The collaboration focuses on improving Digital Literacy and AI Literacy to develop a “digital-ready force” and advance Thailand’s Digital Defense capabilities.
Under the framework, military personnel and government officers can complete coursework through DGA’s platform, which integrates the “AIS Aunjai Cyber: AI Literacy” curriculum with government workforce development standards. Families of personnel and the public can access training via AIS Aunjai Cyber. The initiative will expand through roadshows to military units across Thailand’s four main regions, covering the Royal Thai Army, Royal Thai Navy, and Royal Thai Air Force.
Ministry of Defence outlines strategic shift to data and AI-Driven defense
Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, Minister of Defence, “The world is rapidly entering the AI era. Technology is playing an increasingly important role in operations, data management, decision-making and the national security of every country. The Ministry of Defence is therefore advancing its Digital Defense policy, with a focus on preparing armed forces personnel through physical readiness, knowledge, professional skills and the ability to harness technology effectively.
“We are also strengthening capabilities in data management, situational analysis and strategic decision-making to drive the Ministry’s tangible transformation into a Data-Driven Organization and an AI-Driven Organization.”
In today’s security environment, artificial intelligence is no longer merely a tool for enhancing operational efficiency. It is increasingly influencing data management, situational analysis and decision-making processes. At the same time, technological transformation brings new risks and emerging forms of threats. Developing armed forces personnel who can use technology effectively and remain alert to cyber threats is therefore critical to strengthening the future readiness of the armed forces.
AIS focuses on human development alongside digital infrastructure

DGA provides certification-backed courses via online platform

“DGA is therefore committed to developing the government workforce through the Thailand Digital Government Academy, or TDGA, to close the skills gap and equip government personnel with the practical capabilities required to apply technology effectively.
“As part of this collaboration, TDGA is providing Digital Government Skills courses covering AI Literacy, data management and AI ethics. Armed forces personnel can access these courses anytime and anywhere through the Digital Government Learning Platform at tdga.dga.or.th and receive an online certificate upon successful completion.
