SCBX กำไรสุทธิไตรมาส 2 ปี 2569 จำนวน 11,117 ล้านบาท โต 9% จากไตรมาสก่อน

SCB X Public Company Limited reported a net profit of THB 11,117 million for the second quarter of 2026, representing a 9.0% increase quarter-on-quarter. The performance was supported by improvements in net interest income alongside a significant rise in investment and trading income, reflecting the group’s diversified revenue structure across its banking (Gen 1), consumer and digital finance (Gen 2), and platform and technology (Gen 3) units amid a declining interest rate environment. Year-on-year, net profit declined 13.1%.

Net interest income reached THB 27,306 million, up 2.0% from the previous quarter but down 10.2% year-on-year due to net interest margin (NIM) pressures following policy rate cuts in 2025–2026, while loan growth remained flat compared to year-end 2025. Fee and other income rose 14.8% year-on-year to THB 11,365 million, driven by expansion in the wealth management business via initiatives such as the SCB WEALTH Credit Card by CardX and InnovestX’s global offerings. Investment and trading income stood at THB 2,552 million, up 349.1% quarter-on-quarter due to improved gains from the Bank’s investment portfolio, though down 21.2% year-on-year.

Operating expenses for the quarter decreased 2.2% year-on-year to THB 17,042 million, bringing the cost-to-income ratio to 41.3%. The reduction was driven by cost management measures, process efficiency enhancements, resource allocation, and the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation across group operations.

On asset quality and customer assistance, the group continued its targeted debt restructuring and the “Khun Su, Rao Chuay” support program. The non-performing loan (NPL) ratio improved to 3.17% from 3.23% in the previous quarter. Provisioning expenses dropped 5.3% year-on-year, while the coverage ratio stood at 158.6% and the capital adequacy ratio was recorded at 18.6%.

Arthid Nanthawithaya, Chief Executive Officer of SCBX, stated that the Thai economy in 2Q26 faced ongoing macroeconomic pressure from elevated household debt and an uneven recovery. He noted that the group maintained focus on quality growth, particularly within wealth management through AI and technology integration.

Nanthawithaya added that preparations are underway for the launch of BankX Public Company Limited, a new strategic venture aimed at expanding the group’s technology and AI capabilities. The unit is prioritizing system stability and customer experience, embedding AI into its core operations, products, and customer interaction models to drive financial inclusion.
