BEM with BMN launches “METRO MALL Feel Good Food Aroi” at MRT Queen Sirikit

The Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), join hands with Bangkok Metropolitan Network Co., Ltd. (BMN), to introduce “METRO MALL Feel Good Food Aroi: It’s Yummy, No Matter the Mood.” Pinpointing the new food hub and meeting point for food enthusiasts in the heart of the city at MRT Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre Station elevating the concept of heartwarming meals at good prices, enriching everyday life with happiness. Expanding the customer base through prime location privileges, surrounded by office buildings and convention centers, catering to people from all walks of life, boosting sales for businesses in the area. Initially collaborating with Gourmet Market, a large-scale supermarket specializing in food retail, to create a Food Market featuring guaranteed quality vendors, available from May 9th to 31st, 2024.

Pauranee Kanittanon, Director of Marketing & Corporate Communications at Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), revealed, “Throughout our journey, BEM has been contributing to the society continuously. We have organized numerous campaigns and activities that cater to the urban lifestyle, fostering closeness and shared experiences beyond being just a public transportation system. This time, we have collaborated Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) and Bangkok Metropolitan Network (BMN) to establish a new urban food hub at MRT National Convention Center Station, creating daily happiness with a variety of delicious foods. These foods, considered a universal language, leave a lasting impression on everyone and align with the important lifestyle and culture that have made our country renowned worldwide.”

Witsuwat Amkaphet, Managing Director of Bangkok Metro Networks Co., Ltd. (BMN), stated that BMN is a company specializing in advertising, event spaces, and retail outlets within the MRT Blue Line and expressway systems. We are dedicated to developing all aspects of our business, including innovation and new advertising technologies, while also building a positive image for BMN through the strategy of “The Happy Commercial Hub of MRT.” This involves creating activities aligned with the interests of MRT commuters for each station, aiming to generate excitement and leave a lasting impression, making the daily commute with MRT more meaningful. Additionally, it involves enhancing the area’s image and creating new opportunities to add value to the space, ultimately generating traffic and engagement for station tenants, which we prioritize greatly.

We have organized intensive marketing activities such as events, music journeys like MRT Music Journey, fan meet activities, as well as exclusive rights and various ongoing promotions. These efforts continuously stimulate purchasing power, draw in funds, and strengthen the business for our tenants.

The “METRO MALL Feel Good Food Aroi: Yummy No Matter the Mood” concept at MRT Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre Station stems from an understanding of the needs of MRT passengers and people in the surrounding area. Leveraging the station’s prime location, which serves as a central hub connecting to significant landmarks such as national-level event centers, hospitals, and large condominiums, the area attracts a diverse crowd, including office workers, businesspeople, and expatriates. Furthermore, the front area of METRO MALL already serves as an event space, allowing for easy circulation of shops to create variety and attract attention. However, the absence of medium and large-sized markets in the vicinity means there’s a lack of diverse food options that adequately meet the demand. Therefore, establishing this Food Hub aims to increase options for MRT users and nearby residents significantly.

The Food Hub will become a new rendezvous point for food lovers in the heart of the city, operating as a Rotating Food Market concept with daily rotation throughout the year, serving a variety of hearty, delicious meals, desserts, and accessible beverages. It aims to bring happiness every day, serving tasty meals from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

In the initial phase, we will partner with Gourmet Market, a large-scale supermarket specializing in food retail, to create the Food Market. We’ve invited certified vendors to participate from May 9th to 31st, 2024. We are collaboraing with street food vendors known for their famous menus, alongside tenant shops, all gathered in one place.

The offerings included a variety of delicacies such as Zabway, Thai curries and rice, mango sticky rice, traditional grilled pork, Shanghai chicken rice, Chester’s grills, fried dumplings, and smoothies, Waraporn Salapao, YoksodBaitoey, as well as Thai desserts like fresh coconut cake, GOA, Sunny Side, Choux Cream, Macaron, and more. Additionally, we featured bakeries like Chubby Dough, Kanom Bakery, Donut, Ja-pan bakery, and Cacao Cocoa serving homemade butter grilled ice cream and drinks, along with Madame Marco and Deliya for cakes and pastries. White Story offered a mix of food and baked goods, while Papa Tofu provided soy milk and orange juice. Lastly, Lawson 108, on-site. We organized numerous promotional activities, including discounts, and giveaways, aiming to create excitement, increase foot traffic, and enhance the appeal of MRT Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre Station.

Additionally, BMN is actively seeking out new spaces within the MRT system to host innovative events that cater to the increasing interests of the community. The aim is to create fresh collaborative experiences that bring maximum benefits to MRT users, space tenants, and society as a whole. It is anticipated that new campaigns will be launched soon.
