CDIP signs MoU with TCELS to develop the products safety center

JSP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (Thailand) Plc or JSP has commanded its subsidiary company’s CDIP Plc partners with state agencies and authorities including Thailand OECD-GLP Preclinical Testing Network (TOPT), Department of Medical Sciences, Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), National Laboratory Aninmal Center, National Primate Research Center, Center of Excellence in Natural Products Innovation, Mae Fah Luang University and Asia Medical And Agricultural Laboratory And Research Center Co Ltd., to signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS) for the cooperation project to increase an efficiency of products safety center. Under the agreement aims to exchange and share the information about the product safety between the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the bilateral collaboration between 45 countries.

Sittichai Daengprasert, Chief Executive of JSP of JSP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (Thailand) Plc (JSP) is medicine and nutritional supplements distributor said that CDIP Plc is a subsidiary company partners with state agencies and authorities including TOPT is a provider of products safety center for vaccine, medical equipment, cosmetic, chemical, food additives, feed additives, TISTR, National Laboratory Aninmal Center, National Primate Research Center, Center of Excellence in Natural Products Innovation, Mae Fah Luang University and Asia Medical And Agricultural Laboratory And Research Center Co Ltd to signing the MOU with TCELS for the cooperation project to increase an efficiency of products safety center.

The agreement will help all partners to increase the efficiency of the product safety test for Thai producers. Under the agreement that aims to exchange and share the information about the product safety between the OECD, the bilateral collaboration between 45 countries, OECD’s embassies member and medicine companies.

“The company has confident that the product which has qualified from TOPT will get the global safety standard and can competitiveness” he said.

If the cooperation successful, it will improve Thailand’s medicine industry sector in the future. Current, Thailand’s medicine market in 2022 has total value of 240,000 million baht and expects to jump increase higher within five years. JSP will support all partners to push forward the medicine for the export market.

Dr. Jittiporn Thammajinda, CEO of  Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS) said Thailand has rich in biodiversity and advantage for the medical equipment and the health care product but it’s difficult for export due to the safety standard that not meet the global standard yet.

This cooperation will drive forward and support Thailand to become the center of test facility that qualified through the OECD Good Laboratory Practice (OECD-GLP) by the Department of Medical Sciences. The product which received the qualify can require for the product registration from the OECD, the bilateral collaboration between 45 countries, OECD’s embassies member. It will support the export and reduce the barrier of trade.

Dr. Supakit Sirilak, (MD), Director-General Department of Medical Sciences said this facilitates is important to guarantee the medicine and vaccine from Thailand and reveals both products have safety and it can able to build the secure for the medicine and vaccine in the country. This is will support Thailand’s medicine and vaccine development facilities under the global standard. It will benefit to the export market in the future.

Prof. Dr. Suchinda Malaivijitnond, Director of National Primate Research Center of Thailand said TOPT was found from the center of healthcare product safety test which followed the OECD Good Laboratory Practice (OECD-GLP) system that Thai producers can require for the product registration from the OECD and the bilateral collaboration country. Current Germany, the United State (the US), South Korea and other countries have interested in this due to TOPT’s facilitate which meet the global standard with the expert human resources. Prof. Dr. Chutima Eamchotchawalit, Governor of Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR)  said the authority is one of products safety center in Thailand, support and service its service center for the researcher and the scientist susc as the government and the private sector. The government’s healthcare products development policy that reveals Thailand has undeveloped the medicine and vaccine for the pre-clinic and unsafe. TOPT can support the country to improve the standard.
