TrueBusiness has partnered with Google for Education to launch a nationwide initiative establishing “AI-Driven Universities” through a comprehensive “AI Ecosystem,” aiming to train educators and elevate the country’s educational quality and global competitiveness.
Under this collaboration, TrueBusiness will deploy its network infrastructure to provide Private Wi-Fi for campus-wide connectivity. Concurrently, Google for Education will deploy Google Workspace for Education, utilizing its secure, AI-driven tools to facilitate remote and multi-device teaching and learning.
To empower educators, Google Workspace for Education will allow teachers to utilize Gemini for learning insights, personalized study plans, and lesson planning. TrueBusiness will implement automated systems, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA), to streamline administrative and document workflows, while True Digital Academy will provide digital skills training for educational staff.
Dr. Teeradet Dumrongbhalasitr, Chief Business Officer of True Corporation Plc., stated that transforming Thai education requires an ecosystem that supports learners, educators, and institutions simultaneously. This partnership extends previous collaborations on the ‘AI for All Thais’ project, integrating digital infrastructure, communication networks, educational platforms, and administrative tools. He added that the joint goal is to establish blueprints and AI-digital roadmaps for practical application in teaching, administration, and capability development, preparing the workforce for the digital economy.
Scott Wong, Southeast Asia & Northeast Asia (ex-JP) Lead at Google for Education, noted that the collaboration combines TrueBusiness’ reach with Google’s AI-driven tools to enable Thai universities to adopt AI, creating a secure and collaborative environment for students and educators.
To initiate the alliance, TrueBusiness and Google for Education hosted a seminar titled “The Future of AI in Higher Education” at True Digital Park, attended by over 60 executives and faculty members from 30 universities nationwide, including Chiang Mai University, Khon Kaen University, Maejo University, Naresuan University, Prince of Songkla University, and Burapha University.
The event featured a keynote address by Dr. Teeradet on AI advancements and a presentation by a representative from Naresuan University detailing their transition from a Smart University to an AI-Driven University using solutions from TrueBusiness and Google for Education.
