Thailand drives regional AI Living Hub at Global Telecom AIoT Summit 2026

เปิดฉาก Global Telecom AIoT Summit 2026 ดันไทยสู่ศูนย์กลาง AI Living อาเซียน

The Global Telecom AIoT Summit 2026 convened at The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok, drawing government officials, regulators, telecommunications operators, global technology enterprises, academics, and AIoT ecosystem partners. The summit served as a forum to analyze the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) on the future of telecommunications, smart living, and digital services.

Organized under the theme “AI for All,” the summit was a collaborative effort by the Telecommunications Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage (TCT), T3 Technology, and Tuya Smart. Discussions focused on advancing Thailand’s position as a regional hub for AI-driven living, focusing specifically on the practical deployment of AIoT across residential, enterprise, commercial building, and smart city infrastructures.

Chakkrit Urairat, President of TCT, opened the event by stating that the telecommunications industry is transitioning from basic connectivity into a new phase where AI and IoT serve as core infrastructure for the digital economy. He noted that cross-sector collaboration is required to ensure these technologies remain accessible and inclusive for society.

Nick Wang, Founder and Chairman of T3 Technology and Vice President of TCT, delivered the opening address detailing T3’s vision for AI-powered living. He stated that the value of AIoT depends on enabling homes and services to understand and respond proactively to user needs. Mr. Leo Chen, President of Tuya Smart, followed with an analysis of open AI cloud platforms and global developer ecosystems, explaining that open capabilities lower development barriers and increase efficiency for brands and operators.

NBTC Emphasizes Infrastructure Foundations and Data Governance

Clinical Professor Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck, Chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), delivered a special address emphasizing that robust telecom infrastructure is the foundation for AIoT development. He noted that as AI expands into healthcare, agriculture, industry, and smart cities, regulators must ensure a secure and fair digital environment, alongside trusted data governance.

Following the addresses, an official launch ceremony was held to mark the opening of the summit. The ceremony featured key figures including Nick Wang, Mr. Chakkrit Urairat, Clinical Professor Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck, and Leo Chen. Concurrently, an inspection of the T3 Tino Living Model Experience Room was conducted by Mr. Chakkrit Urairat, Clinical Professor Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck, and Mr. Nick Wang to review practical setups.

During the morning session, Leo Yu, CEO of T3 Technology, presented “T3 AIoT: Building the AI Living Infrastructure for Operators,” outlining how telecom companies can expand beyond traditional connectivity into smart living platform providers via AI Home setups, smart devices, and AI agents.

Will Yu, Chief Scientist of AI at Tuya Smart, followed with a technical brief on integrating generative AI and edge intelligence to transform home hardware into proactive service agents.

The summit also heard from Julian Gorman, Head of APAC at GSMA, who detailed the capacity of 5G networks to unlock smart economies for consumers and SMEs. From an academic perspective, Professor Wu Sai of Zhejiang University presented research regarding AIoT system architecture and edge intelligence.

Thai Telecom Operators Outline Digital Home and Ecosystem Frameworks

Representatives from major Thai telecom operators shared their respective commercial strategies. Nuttawit Surittikul, Executive Vice President of National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT), discussed AIoT-driven digital service growth; Ekaluk Prasurtkaew from AIS outlined business-to-business AIoT ecosystem development; and Mr. Patchara Vanthongkam from True introduced True’s digital home platform designed for connected residential experiences.

Four-Way Regional MOU Signed to Introduce “Hey Ami” to Southeast Asia

The morning session concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between True, VNPT, T3 Technology, and Tuya Smart. The strategic agreement establishes regional cooperation to deploy the “Hey Ami” system across Southeast Asia, targeting AI Home and AIoT ecosystem expansion.

Following a lunch break, attendees participated in an AI-Innovation Tour of the exhibition booths. Rutchapol Sangsurichai, Head of AIoT Business Development at T3 Technology, conducted a live demonstration showcasing practical AIoT applications in residential automation, device interaction, and lifestyle services.

Regional Operators and T3 Present Localized Solutions and Tino Living Model

The afternoon keynotes opened with Dr.Teeradet Dumrongbhalasitr, Chief Business Officer of True, who discussed leveraging AIoT for consumer and enterprise scaling. Regional perspectives were provided by Hoang Quoc Huy from VNPT Technology (Vietnam) and Nazri Bin Edham from Telekom Malaysia / unifi, who detailed their respective regional smart IoT strategies. Mr. Kevin Guo, Deputy CEO and Head of International Business at T3 Technology, then introduced the “Tino Living Model,” a localized AI framework built around voice, vision, context, and services tailored for regional telecom operators.

A executive panel titled “AI-Native Telcos: AI as the New Growth Frontier for Operators” brought industry leaders together to discuss the evolution of telecom companies into AI-native service platforms. The panel focused on commercialization models, customer engagement metrics, and ecosystem partnerships.

The summit hosted the official Global Telecom AIoT Promotion Initiative Ceremony. The initiative serves as a formal call for structured cooperation among governments, network operators, technology developers, and research institutions to accelerate regional AIoT adoption.

The scope of the presentations subsequently broadened to commercial infrastructure. Evan Liu, Director of Strategic Growth at Konec Solutions Australia, analyzed smart buildings as a new ARPU layer; Harry Hartono, Head of Energy & Decarbonization Solutions at Vector Green Singapore, provided data on energy savings from building-level IoT; and Pattaranan Teeramaswanich, Telco Lead at Amazon Web Services (AWS) Thailand, discussed scalable cloud infrastructure required for secure AI delivery.

The event concluded with a panel on “AI Trust, Security & Governance,” followed by the Thailand Data Security Certification Joint Initiative Ceremony. The initiative established a collaborative framework for data security, responsible AI development, and regulatory compliance as AI integrates into business operations.

The Global Telecom AIoT Summit 2026 concluded by positioning AIoT as an immediate growth engine for national digital economies. By aligning regulators, operators, platform developers, and academic bodies, the event confirmed Thailand’s role as a regional platform for smart living development.
